So Tired of Left Overs

I just looked in my fridge for something to eat for lunch. It's full of food. Full of food I am tired of eating. Leftovers from last week (actually two weekends ago)when we had out of town guests. Meatloaf, roast, brats, corn, american bbq, koren bbq, green bean casserole, hotdogs, pink monster, mississippi mud pie to name a few. We've been eating and eating. I just heated up a piece of meatloaf, then crumbled into tortilla with some cheese to make a burrito out of it. How desperate is that to have something different? But I don't want it to go waste.

Two weeks ago? I hope you are freezing things or you are going to get food poisoning.....

Everything thing has been refrigerated and reheated appropriately, so I am not worried about food poisoning. I am just getting bored. We have finished quite a bit off though.

most things should only be in the refrigerator for a matter of days. Bacteria will begin to grow.

Donate it to the homeless! They'll enjoy every bite of it, plus, i think it might be a tax deduction too! Why don't you try it and see?

Unfortunately it is all prepared food and that cannot be donated. What a shame isn't. We've plowed through quite a bit of it. For example, the kids finished off the mud pie yesterday.

This happens to me all the time. I hate eating the same things all the time so I try to come up with creative ideas to use what we have without it tasting like or seeming like it is the same thing that we had the night before or the night before that. I don't mind eating leftovers, I just hate eating them constantly.

Mine is empty! LOL.....I rarely have leftovers as if I have company its usually my son and his family and my son eats almost everything I cook! Hope you liked your burrito! Sounds very interesting!

You need to put some of the in the freezer! Use the roast for hash and barbecue beef sandwiches. The taco idea was one I would have suggested! Cut up the brats and make a casserole with au gratin potatoes or mix it into the green bean casserole. If I had all that, I would freeze most of it so it wouldn't go bad and look around for some different recipes.

The burrito sounds interesting! I don't have all that much in my fridge. I tend to have the same kind of sandwiches for lunch and there is not usually that much left over from dinner. It does seem a shame to waste food; aren't we lucky that we have to force ourselves to get rid of left overs; it goes to show how much we have! We're very fortunate!
