I saw a dead cat!! Most upsetting day :(

I used to have a big fluffy tom cat who used to like crossing the main road near my house. I used to try to keep him in the house but he would miaow like crazy to go out. One day I got the dreaded phone call I knew was coming, someone told me they had just seen him get run over. I had to go and get the body from the side of the road and put him in a bag (that was a horrible job for me to do, I really needed my dad at that point!), and then I had to go and bury him. Pets are our friends and it is upsetting when they die.

My daughter and her boyfriend came across an injured cat in the road and took it to a vet for treatment. No matter what they said the vet thought they had knocked the cat down! He gave them a really hard time. Maybe next time they will just walk away? I don't think so. My daughter is the same as me and we can't bear to see a pet suffer no matter what the cost.
