Tarzan doesn't have a beard because he's a make believe character and, when he was created, those who made the decisions about his appearance decided that he looked better without a beard. They could have given him a beard but he wouldn't have been as cute.

Maybe its in his genetics...some men cant grow facial hair and he is one of those guys that just cant do it. Most Native American Indians cant grow facial hair.

Theoretically he could have regularly eaten something which inhibits the growth of excessive hair. Not all folklore medicine are based on superstition. I know of somebody in my younger days who consumed a combination of herbs based on traditional medicine to ensure the skin became smooth with no visible hair. I remember one ingredient, and it was black pepper.
There is still a lot most of us do not know about traditional treatment for various ills and reasons. How many of us notice that many Chinese males have no or sparse beard? Maybe it is due to genetics and a combination of other factors, including diet.
all the best,

Hi, deity_mei! Well, the story of tarzan is only a legend. The person who takes his role do not actually live in the jungle so he knows about shaving Anyway, if you found a person who lives in the jungle in his whole life, you will notice that his beard should be long. This is my response, happy mylotting and have a nice day!
