HI, this afternoon I went to pick up my kids at school and then I took them to the Bank (Chase Bank). At the bank, they have kids station. So, my daughter asked for my permission to play at that place with my a little baby(the baby can walk very well). I said, Ok but don't scream and no running around. So, I was cashing the check and I didn't turn to watch my kids at the moment yet. then a old man, asked for the kids' mother... I was so surprised when he said My kids are disorder and who is the mother. I said, They are my kids... and what did they do?
He said, the old one is jump up and down on the sofa... I called my kids to stay down. And he still talking and said, I should hold on to my kids and shouldn't let them messing around there. I was like what?
Even, I left the bank and he at us in a bad way. Seem like he really hate kids or something. Actually, my daughter didn't jump up and down on the sofa, she just hop up and she sat with both legs on the sofa.
If someone talk something like this to you, what should you do? I didn't argue with him cuz I dont think it is necessary cuz it is just kids. He builds up the madness and he will go home unhappy... I was mad too but I just let him go. If you were me, what should you do then?

I think it's an age thing. I know when we visited my husbands grandmother she had a hard time with the kids if they were too loud or if they sat on the sofa with their feet up. It's difference manners that our children and what we grew up with.
I think he was just an old man that got irritated because of the noise. Not that they made any, but some of the older generations still think children should be seen but not heard.

Well yah, you'd think they'd look at the young and remember their own childhood, but some don't. I think they get crabby because they sat on their cane by mistake.

kids are gods best creation and i just love them. they just jump here and there and everywhere and i love watching them. there are people who don't like kids, its maybe because they don't have one. you did was write, there was no benefit in fighting with him as it would have served no purpose. other than worsening the situation. the person didn't like kids it's his problem. there are others who like them. And i suppose almost everyone on mylot love kids. Isn't it right friends?

He sounds like a grumpy old man! I wouldn't have said anything back to him either. I would have just said an empty sorry and went on my way. Some people are just mean and don't like kids. Kids will be kids. You can't control everything they do every second of the day!

I find that the ones that are intolerant of children are the ones who don't have any and lack the experience. The man sounds like a grumpy old thing that is not used to children. If it were me I would have let it go too because it is difficult to make someone like that appreciate what kids do. I don't like confrontation and usually avoid it unless absolutely necessary.

I know, that's why I didn't say anything back to him because I think it is not necessary to fight with that dump old man ...
And one day, he will learn his lesson...
