Is critical thinking the best way to shape creative person?

I often hear that we must cultivate our critical thinking. For students, teachers usually ask them to solve problems and observe things with critical thinking. Is critical thinking the best way to shape creative person?

Yes. In my university, the students pride in being able to think critically. It not only helps a person become more creative, but it helps him or her to become more functional, social and strategic. Practicing critical thinking does a great help to a lot of people, even outside school. :)
