How to start a new discussion

Maybe I'm just stupid, but it seriously took me about 10 minutes to actually find the link for how to start a new discussion. Considering I'm fairly familiar with forums (I run a couple), that's fairly impressive, so...
Anyone else have trouble figuring out how to start a new discussion for the very first time?
For the sake of other newbies like myself who simply cannot find the link and, also like me, do a search to try to find if anyone else has ever posted about it, the link is at the very, very top left, above everything else, right next to your username.

You can also start a new discussion directly from the interest in which you want it to appear in.
On the right above all the other discussions it says 'start a new discussion' and I usually use that.
Welcome and happy Lotting!

Ooo, thank you for the tip. I somehow hadnt noticed that yet, I think mostly because I was only viewing discussions individually or looking at search results, not looking at the entire list of discussions on a given interest.
