Personally even though I have not been that active in here lately, I could never really get tired of this site. For me, it became way more than just the money over 2 years ago as I have met so many wonderful people here and have learned a lot about other things as well. Maybe you have never given this site the chance it deserves. You have only been here for 3 months, and maybe you just need to find a little more time to try being more active here, and then give it more of a shot. If you choose to leave, that is OK, but I am sure there are many who wish you would stay. Wishing you the Best.

janet, when I responded to someone's invitation nearly three years ago, I was only mildly interested. I played around for a few weeks and then forgot about it. I had reached payout rather quickly (this was when you were paid for a one word responses), so my interest waned. Then one day in my inbox was a notification that someone had responded to once of my discussions! I went and answered, but then I saw another one that interested me...and another and another--I quickly got hooked and here I am. I'd suggest you find some topics that interest you--I mean, REALLY interest you and start posting regularly. Try responding to the same group of people. Make new friends--seek people out (they won't always come to you). Currently, I'm just coming back, so my goals are a bit high. I want to make payout (I'm at $6.47 with a payout of $10); post 100 responses a week (at least in the beginning) and try to get to 1500 responses by the end of the month (I'm at 1401). When you set goals (even small ones), it makes it easier. Those are my suggestions--I hope you stick around!

No problem--I only wish someone had taken the time to explain things to me when I started! A lot of this is trial and error, plus quite a few mistakes along the way. I've found it best to just go along at my own pace and the devil be damned about what everyone else thinks! (actually, what I mean is that I don't worry what others think of me here). Just be yourself and have fun!

I was little discouraged too when I was using it for the first couple months because my earnings was growing ridiculously slow, but I knew I didn't paticipating enough so my earnings grew so slow then I started to work on it more, when I see the earnings add up everyday, it motivates me to do more and more.

Lot ur interest in mylot........... Hello friend, funny that I was feeling the same way until I read ur message. Sometimes it's the small things that we can do for a friend to help spur them on. I have found that with mylot, it get more interesting with the more that you learn about it. There are lots of features here that you probably aren't even aware of. As with me I'm learning new things every day. Also you really have to sort of try to keep an eye on what ur doing. Write down the number of discussions that you start and the number of comments then try to see how many you're doing like in an hour's time or in a day's time. This is something new that I'm just now starting to do b/c in the beginning I really wasn't trying to keep up with it. Also you might want to make sure that ur offering helpful information in ur comments and discussions. Make sure that your putting in at least three to four sentences in each one. The best thing about mylot is having friends that we meet and share with. If you have lots of friends elsewhere this may not be so important to you but for people that don't have anyone to confide in I feel like mylot can be a great source of comfort. Anways I do hope you get ur zeal back and perhaps the main pointer that I can suggest is only work on it a few hours a day. If you do it like that you probably wont' get burned out quite as fast. Good luck, okay?

Thanks very much friend, I'm glad that you found the advice helpful. Right now I"m feeling pretty tired so I will give mylot a break then I will go get something to eat and try to refresh myself. Really I'm kind of bored with my life but at times like this I will usually just open my bible and read a few verses of scriptures and try to meditate on what Jesus is saying. Then i know I will feel better. Anyhow now that you know what to do, just keep going and never give up. You might turn out to be the next person to write the next best seller, you just never know. Take care and feel free to add me as a friend and then we can share in each others discussions more. I would like that very much. May God bless you.................

Probably you just need some time out from mylot!:) I, on the otherhand, find the site interesting because of the threads/topics being posted by members. There are no spammers too. It's hard to earn in mylot so if one's priority is earning, then another site might be helpful.

Yeah, no spam here, i acknowledge that everyone will find it more helpful if not put priority to earning.

Well, all the questions are for your benefit. They (mylot) wants to be sure that you check your responses; they want you to add keywords (for searching purposes) and that you're always signed in. I'd start with the home page, and look at discussions--from there you can select Hot (popular) Discussions, New Discussions, Discussions from my Interests...you have tons of options! Or look at the topics that people recently posted to from your interests across the top and respond to a discussion. One suggestion--for you to get paid, your responses should be three to five sentences. And tag EVERYTHING! Good luck and welcome to myLot!

There are times I get all lazy working on myLot and it's normal, especially when I'm tired from work. But still, I try as much as I can to start a discussion or at least reply a couple of discussions for a day.. It isn't that bad.. I have been here, roughly a month I guess.. At first, it sure bores me, cause I get few cents for making and posting and reply discussions.. I have forgotten myLot for months, and logged back again, and I already have received my first payout 2 months back, I was excited getting my payout.. It made me get more interested and would stick to myLot, even I don't get to stay much online.. The thing here is, "motivation" and before having that, you must have set your goals, and I have my goal of reaching my payout and make quality discussions as possible as I can.. I hope this helps you to keep going on myLot...

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that you have lost interest on mylot. But I think that's too early for you to say. It's just 3 months and maybe you are just bored that's why you seem to lose interest on the site. Maybe also you find that the earnings here is a bit slow. It may also be because discussions doesn't interest you much. I have been here for almost a year now. I still have the same enthusiasm participating on the site since the day I joined. Sure there were days I get bored but it's just normal and everyone do experience that. The earnings kept me going on. It's my inspiration and it's the reason why mylot interests me. I also find sharing my views fun and helps me improve my writing skills. I hope what you're experiencing won't make you leave the site. Just hold on there and a day will come and you feel fine with mylot again. I suggest you should also think about your goal why you joined mylot. if you're looking for a bigger earning, I think mylot is not the site for you. But if you're looking for fun with extra earnings then this is the place to be. Good luck!

Hey janet! My lot is a very nice place to earn some extra cash, you can see so many payments to the members, i been paid just once but i can say that my lot really pay and is a very trusted site, i know that is a little hard reach the minimum of $10 dollars, but if you come here every day and try to be a little active in the site, commenting or posting you can get the minimum and earn some extra money! So dont be sad and just work a little more and you will get your first payment. Have a nice day and see ya :D

Hello janet8893!!! Well like you I too had not a real interest in mylot for about three months. I was so much frustrated with this site. People said that they reach the payout every month, but if I looked at the mylot balance of mine, I would always see the very little amount of dollars increasing every day. Many times, I quit and again many times I returned. My earning per day was at the average of about 10 cents. That was too much frustrating and wondered when I would reach the payout and how did the others do it. I reached one dollar with the 100 posts only. Guest why? my posts were not very long. Only about 3 to 4 lines and the highest were about 10 lines. But this month I have improved a lot. Now I am going at the average of 35-40 cents a day. And with this I am gaining much more interest on the mylot. Moreover, I have started making friends here in mylot, and it is interesting to respond to each others discussions. Now, its like I am addicted to mylot. And now I have confidence that I can reach the payout every month. So with my story, I hope you will learn something. The key point is type longer responses. Create discussions, and don't forget to comment few lines in the each response you get. And another important thing, make friends, which will develop the interest in you in this mylot. Good luck and happy mylotting...

I dont blame you it happens to most of us. The best thing to do is just to take a break from mylot thats exactly what I did when I got sick of it a few years ago. I took a few months off this place then eventually I started to miss it and then I came back to it. So thats probally what you should do.

yes I must admit I feel that sometimes, but when I think of the wonderful people here who have helped in my questions (and hopefully I've helped too) then I get excited again and start to join in the discussions. I think when you really dont know what to talk about, just respond to discussions. In that way you get ideas and you will be able to make quality posts.. Dont give up yet, we certainly dont want you to go.. If you have a problem in any way just ask it and somebody is likely to respond to you. Happy my lotting!

Mylot is replacing a previous site that I left (the racism was disgusting) that allowed people to communicate different ideas to one another although the previous site didn't pay for posts. I just like discussing different topics, but the fact that I get paid is an added bonus. It is understandable that you don't always have time for mylot, I'm just now done with my spring semester of college, but now I have to get a job. Time isn't always on my side but mylot can even be used as a way of dealing with stress. I don't think you should give up on mylot. It isn't necessary that you post everyday, but you could still check up on your friends, especially if you don't communicate outside of mylot.

I'm in a similar case with you. I'm going to done with my college education next year. Now I begin to fight for future, so i get little time to check mylot. For your encouragement, I feel catch the interests again to keep on it. Sometimes I really want to make friends can communicate outside of mylot.

I am sorry to hear that you have lost interest in mylot. Maybe you haven't been posting quality posts, and that is why you aren't making money. I would suggest sticking it out, and you will get there. I have been on for 2 weeks, and mine goes up everyday, not a lot but I am progressing. I like mylot, because we can make friends and get paid all at the same time. If you sitkc it out, I am sure that you will do it, as anyone can do anything they put there mind to it. I am not anywere newr payout myself, but I am not going to give up as I am not a quitter, and you should't be either. You just have to do the best you can, post quality, and you will get there. Might I also suggest, trying some taskes, as they pay more. I have as yet to do any taskes, but I am doing fine without them right now. You might aslo think about signing up in other places, so ou can make more money. Just do a ssearch on something that might interest you, and then you wil get feedback as to whether they work for others or not, and whether they have received payment from therem Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

No, don't quit yet. you don't have to be serious in earning money. that's how got me frustrated in the first place. never ever think too much about money, instead think about what you can learn..
