I have some friends who will refuse to watch the sad movies. As they are afraid of crying when they watch this kind of movies. As to me, I like to watch any kinds of movies, and it's alright for me to watch sad movies. And I think if a movie can make you drop tears, it must be a good one.

I prefer a movie with a honest ending that may be sad instead of a movie with a happy ending tacked on.I am wired differently. I prefer sad movies at times . If I am not in the mood for a happy film, it will make me livid.

The English Patient is the movie that has a bittersweet ending that was great. It didn't need a happy ending . in fact it couldn't handle it.A happy ending would clash with the feel of the film.

I don't really try to avoid watching sad movies. I like watching any kind of movie even if it will make me cry, I don't mind crying in front of people. If I watch a movie with my boyfriend and it is a sad movie I think it is cute when he is able to shed a tear.

i like to see any kinds of moves, even if the moves is sadly, i also like it,however, i don't like to see the moves with sadness ending.if that, i will avoid to watching.in my opinion, most sadness will be came into happiness in the coming day.there is a real life,a ability perople definely will find a boss to know him. a kinly person also will be get their gain.
so i do agree that a good movie can make somebody drop tears.but i don't think a movies with sadness ending is a good movies.
hopiness should be found in every movies, that is the correct.

I am not worried about my emotions when watching movies. I either watch the movies alone, or i watch the movies with friends and loved ones who understand my emotions, and whose emotions I understand, should we react emotionally to any movie we may choose to watch together.

I don't really mind watching sad movies on a normal day. But if I am feeling kinda low, I try to avoid watching them as much as possible because they will only make me feel worse. There are times when I am feeling ok, I watch sad movies and it doesn't really bother me if I cry because I know that I am crying only because I was touched by the story in the movie and not because I personally am sad.

If I hear that that certain movie can make people cry, well I try to avoid watching it, makes me feel gay. But when I started a movie without knowing it makes us cry, I continue to watch it. "I love to watch sad movies but I try to avoid watching it". It's like, "I love it but I don't like it"

I agree with you. If that movie made you cry then probably it's an intense and touching story. I don't avoid watching sad movies, I've watch the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, it's a sad movie but then I end up liking it. The Notebook is considered a sad movie for me too, because obviously I cried a bucket of tears from it. I think that if critically calling a movie good, it should have something touching and powerful to it and I guess that's what most sad movies have. I won't say I like these kinds of movies but as a moviegoer, there's probably nothing wrong in tearing up for a movie. As long as you enjoy and felt contented, it's probably worth watching!:)

I call those tear jerkers.
Sure, I love watching sad movies.
It's totally OK to cry.
A good cry releases stress and helps one
feel better.
Don't mind a good cry on occasion
as long as I don't have to mope
and dwell on all the stuff that went wrong
in my life.
Not when I have so many good things in my life
and so many wonderful friends and family
to be happy over.

I like sad movies but I do not often watch them because I get affected easily. I tend to remember sad movies because they made me cry. I do not often watch however. I can only remember If Only, A Walk To Remember and The Notebook. Also the inspirational movies like the Pursuit of Happiness and Pay It Forward. I hate it when some people die like in The Ghost but that is a very good one. Anyway if movies are sad and they made you cry then they are worth remembering.

I can watch even sad movies but there should be a good and touching story behind those emotions.
It is really a different experience to watch such movies.
Even though there is no action, romance or even comedy but the way emotions are expressed is really excellent.
Because in action emotion is really difficult to express clearly.

I will avoid watching sad movies if there are other people watching with me, but I'm all for it if I'm alone. I'm not comfortable with people around to witness my waterworks.
