Are you happy where you live and doing what you do....or....
would you change it if you could?
In this time of uncertainity with the economy and jobs I think people are really trying to hold onto the jobs they have even if they don't like them.
What are you feeling with your place of employment and where you live at this time?

I would love to be able to move somewhere in CO or MO off-grid and learn to be self-sustainable. This is mine and my husband's dream.

Sounds like a great dream to have. In this day an age of uncertainity you would certainly have onee up on most people because you would have your own food and means of support.
Good luck with your dream and I hope you reach it one day.

I would like to be able to move to California or Texas(my orighinal home state) to get to warmer Winters and less wind. The job is not the problem since I am unemployed and have been for a long time, I make my living from investing which can pretty much be done anywhere I get a good Internet connection. My problem is just the cost of moving and checking out the new place and that I couldn't afford to live in CA.

Hi stealthy....although it may be expensive to live in California, the jobs there probably pay better and things would pretty much even themselves out.
It seems like if you move to a location that has higher living expenses, the job market and pay is quite considerably higher.
Good luck in whatever you do!
