Hey everybody! Just wanted to let everyone know I sold an old Gameboy system I bought for $2.00 for $15.50 on eBay, which was more than I expected to get. I was wondering if anybody knows any other items that can be bought cheap and resold on eBay for a profit? Thanks.

If you know how to repair Xbox 360's with the RROD, you can buy broken ones off of there & then sell them back. I recently thought of the idea, but I don't feel like learning how to do it. It's a hit or miss type of thing.

There is a ebook online about how to fix broken XBOX if you would like to check it out you can do so here http://tiny.cc/A0SR8 I know a lot of people that buy broken XBOXs and than they sell them for porfit, this would be a great little side business to do online. You could sell the fixed xbox on ebay or craigslist. Take care and happy mylotting as well.

I've got a friend of the family who has made some pretty decent money on eBay by going to garage sales, flea markets, second hand shops, etc. She specifically looks for brand name products, particularly clothing. She pays anywhere from 10 cents to a few dollars for an item and puts it up on eBay for double, triple the price she paid. An example, she bought a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans for 45 cents at a Salvation Army store and turned around and sold them for $15 PLUS the money she made from the shipping charge. She said that's where the real money comes from. Shipping. For instance, something actually costs about $2 to send and she charges $4.95. It's not entirely ethical but she has never had any complaints about it and virtually everyone does the same. I've gotta tell you, she's really into it. Has a scale in her "office" and everything. Good luck in your endeavor!

Yea, that seems to be a good way for "part-time" eBayers like me to get their products. The only problem is that it is hit or miss. Some days you might not find anything that has potential to sell. I do like the hunt of it though, lol.

That's what my friend loves too. She makes a day of it. Hits all the garage sales, yard sales and what not that she can and it really IS a hit or miss thing. She loves the hunt! lol. She also takes her kids along with her if they're available. They're all teenagers and know what's "hot" now. She said she'll look at something and go "eeeewwww" and her kids will be gaga over it! lol. It usually sells.

I have a friend who made $11,000 last year on eBay. He went to estate sales and bought clothing in bulk. He always made sure the sales were in wealthy parts of town and often walked away with designer gowns for just a few dollars. He was then able to sell them on eBay for an awesome profit. I have had great luck with medical uniforms and anything electronic (cell phones, pda's, etc). I have been selling on eBay for many years with no problems to speak of. Good luck to you.

I use E-bay from time to time you just have to be careful about the shipping costs. If you sell and item for .99 and you don't charge the proper fee for shipping you can end up losing money! It is really hard to make money on E-bay because the prices are so competitive. I have found that hard to fine items and collectibles sell the best for me. You also have to take in consideration the fee for listing your item plus the transaction fee from paypal. I have found that I tend to buy from E-bay as much as I sell.

From the sounds of it anything, you want. Maybe go to some flea markets or yard sales. I never have any luck saling stuff so I am definitely not the person to ask. I heard coach bags are a big hit on ebay if they are nice.

I use to sell on eBay but once they bought out PayPal and then screwed me after I was a 5 year seller on there with a 100% positive feedback I will never do business with the again. Tome they are one of the biggest scams out there, they real you in for a while make good money off of you then screw you.....Hope this does not happen to you. Congrats on your first sale, and Good Luck!!!

Sorry to hear that. Are you using any another ways to sell on-line or did you stop after eBay? I have read other people are switching over to Amazon or opening their own on-line stores.

I have my own online store, Ido like amazon, and overstock.com but I do better with my own online store.
