How many people here have ever gambled? I'm twenty-three years old and even though I've been able to go gambling legally for two years now, I've actually never been to a casino. At least not to gamble (I've been in the restaraunt portion of one before). An old friend of mine once was telling me how he went and won $25.
For a while now I've been wanting to go to a casino and see what it's like myself. Obviously I won't go expecting to win big or become a millionaire but it would be great if that happened.
Has anyone here ever won any money? What kind of experiences have you had?

Well, it can be quite Fun from time to time to go to a Casino and try your Luck as I have went quite a few times. The main thing you need to remember is to set a Goal of how much you are willing to loose, and take only that much with you when going inside. The best my husband and I ever did at one of our Local Casinos here in this area is right around $1000. I won $650 off of $20 in Roulette, and he won like $400 from a 5 cent machine. Unfortunately we have never been this Lucky since.

Hi DarthJustice, it’s no harm to visit the casino just for broaden the horizon by viewing new thing in person. Yeah, we could have a trial on gamble to fulfill our curiosity as long as we do not addict to it.
Here in my place there is a popular tourist site in a hill station. Yeah, besides thousands of outlets and kiosks selling varieties of attractive stuffs as well as delicious foods, playgrounds of lots of exciting games like roller coaster and etc. Several casinos are available here as well.
My husband and his friends like visiting the casino while having vacation there. I have followed him to the casino several times. I know it’s not easy to win money betting there so I’m viewer most of the time. I had tried to bet on one of the number with the minimum amount of money while watching them playing the roulette before. I was so excited when the number betting coming out, though what I'd won was a little amount only.
Happy posting and good luck.

I havent play real money in gambling. I play poker online but its just for fun not for real money. Sometimes I lose but sometimes I win. Its hard to play for real money unless you have a lot and money is not really important to you. Its hard to bet big amount if you really need money but its the only way to win big also.

I haven't been lately, but I really enjoy going to the boats or going to Las Vegas once a year. I have fun and sometimes I win quite a bit of money (not enough to quit my day job though). I make sure that the money I go with is money that I can lose (this is the main reason I haven't gone lately...no extra money I can afford to lose).
When I first started going, I played slots, but they ate my money up too fast. So, i learned to play blackjack, and that's mainly what I play. If you are unfamiliar with the other types of games at a casino, I would try and learn before you go. There are lots of cheap casino games you can pick up cheap to learn the basics. Knowing the basic rules will make your first experience more enjoyable.

Gambling just makes you lose money. It's not even worth your time so don't bother visiting any casinos. All rigged to try and cheat everyone's money. All the people I know who have gambled have only lost money and because of this, I never go to casinos because I think they are a waste of time and space.

Ive been to a casino twice since i turned 21, the first time i went was to Lake Tahoe and i lost a lot of money on the slots actually, i had no luck there. But on the otehr hand i decided to be brave and play some black jack and i was actually pretty lucky at that and I won about $120 :) .......the other time i went to a casino was a few months back to a local indian casino and it wasn't nearly as much fun, the black jack table minimum bets were higher and so i ended up losing $150 that time :(

I have tried gambling and i have been to casino thrice.. i didn't bet big amount of money, it was just for fun.. i have won but not that big.. it's kind of addictive so before getting myself hooked on it, i stopped and do something productive.. gambling is gambling.. you need to gamble in order to win..yay! i won't gamble my money for that because there's no assurance you'll take home pots of money..

my suggestion is :BETTER NOT GO.
since you didn't try ,better not try,or you may addict in it.that will be a big problem.
so before you go,think it carefully.
BETTER NOT.

i'm afraid of gambling because i only have money left for my kids to feed. and i dont have any money left for gambling. i'm afraid that my money would just be gone for a second. maybe someday i'll try, i maybe lucky enough on trying.

hey Darth,
I believe that i'm in the same position as you. I've actually just turned 21 a few months ago this year and have been thinking of hitting the local casino to see if i can rake in some extra pocket change. However, i've had a few bad experiences that have prevented me from going.
One of my good friends has been an avid gambler for a few years. I lent him about $300 because he lost a ridiculous amount of money at a texas holdem' table and he couldnt pay his rent. To this day, i have not received a single dime. There's this one Korea saying, "No borrowing money with friends"...which i find very true. So...basically what i'm saying is that i think you should go for a great time, but go with somebody who will stop you from blowing your tuition money...or maxing out your credit card :D.

I went to a casino once and won $111.00 at a slot machine. It was a great feeling and I actually needed the money because I was with a couple of people who ended up gambling all the money to get back home away..If I didn't win that money, I'd probably still be in Atlantic City, NJ...so I guess it happened for a reason..

I went to Las Vegas with my sister for my 21st birthday. I dont think I spent more than $100 gambling! I was there for an entire week. Gambling simply isnt for everyone.
I have won small amounts of money. Definitely never anything worth getting excited over. I think my biggest payout was about $30. (I said it was small amounts!)
If you find a game that you enjoy, it can be a lot of fun. I always liked the video poker machines. This last time we were in Vegas, I found a 100 hand penny machine. It meant that I spent $1 to play each time, but almost always got at least something back.
If you take a certain amount of money that you are willing to lose, it can be a lot of fun. The trick is to take that money and not get any more out of the atm! If you lose all of your money in 10 minutes, then you are done playing. If you can sit at a table for the entire day and play, that is awesome!
I look at it as spending money on entertainment. Some people will go watch a movie at the theaters. They get about 2-3 hours worth of entertainment out of about $10. Some days, I take that $10 and spend it at the casino instead. Sometimes, you get only a short time of entertainment. Other times you can literally entertain yourself for hours on that $10!
You definitely have the right attitude towards gambling. You probably wont win big or become a millionaire. The casinos thrive because they make money off of what they do! Otherwise they wouldnt be there. Expecting them to make money off of you is the best outlook you can have.
If you decide to go gambling, be responsible about it. Try different things, you may be surprised at what you like and dont like!
