Please help! Is there anything I can do with my mistake I have just made?

Don't worry so much. It won't give a bad impression on you or your discussion, but be careful when you doing it the next time. Sometimes, people might not like to respond to your discussions if you are giving out best responses to not so good responses and they might end up not responding. So keep in mind that you select the best. For now, you can let that go as you can do nothing to get it back. bourne

Best responses once given out cannot be retrieved back, and it cannot be swopped to another response. Nothing much can be done now, so guess you just have to leave it. I believe the rest of the respondants would not mind it. And I am sure you are not the only person who has made this mistake. Happy posting.

not a biggy. it can happen, happened to me once when i was commenting against a post by a mylotter and by mistake i gave it the best response as well there is nothing to reverse the process and i don't really think that it matters either. just be careful next time. and most users never really select a best response anyway.

you can't change it. you just have to be more careful when giving out best responses. never mine the person who got the best response shall write more on your discussions anyways cause you motivated him/her so don't feel sad that you didn't get your pick. for the first time you picked the underdog and im sure he appreciates it. and as for the best, im sure he/she will get many more in the future. good luck and god bless. cheers mate.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do if you mark the best response by mistake. Well, just leave it if you mark it by mistake, anyway it's still a response.

dont worry my dear friend sunflowr.you are so kind and honest.i like you very much.that wont make up.but that is nothing wrong.it can't make a very big difference.just this time.everyting is ok.just keep on to do things honest like before.we like you very much.some friends say they never give anyone the best respose.i dont agree with them.i think give a right best respose is very necessary and helpful.because we replied so carefull.we should be thanked,that is nothing wrong.right?so i will learn from you.to give the best respose to the right person.
