Are you one of those people who always says "love you," before you say bye to a family member on the phone?
Do you ever mistakenly say it to someone else?
My 12 year old sister always talks to one of her male classmates on speaker phone all the time. And he always says "love you, bye" when he talks to his parents or sister on the phone- one time my sister had to go off the phone, and everyone in the house heard him say, "ok, love you....oops! I mean, nevermind." And my sister what like "What!?" It was really funny.

Hahahaha that's funny! I can imagine the look on the male classmate's face hehe.
I don't have that habit of saying I love you before saying bye when talking on the phone. But there was one time when having text mates are in craze. I would often receive lots of wonderful messages from my text mates and sometimes I forward them to other people too. I was exchanging text with a guy friend and he sent me a joke. There was a message from my girl text mate that I didn't read down to the end but I know it was a joke too so I forwarded it to my guy friend and after a while he replied "what?". I was confused so I decided to finish reading the message I sent, realizing that there was an I love you word in the end. Embarrassed, I immediately replied "wrong send".
Ciao!

Yes, and yes...lol Since my mother passed away this last Feb, my brothers and sisters all have been doing this anytime we talk to each other now.. Mind you there are ten of us.. lol So when I got back home after being there for almost two months helping with all that needed to be done, I was on the phone with a friend and it came out, Love You, laterss... and it went silent at the other end and then my friend said love you too.. which was nice actually. The thing is, was it wrong to say it, or is it a good thing to be able to say what you feel freely. Love has many many definitions, family, friends, loved ones, your mate, that is it wrong to say Love you to others?

That was funny! Love you oopps, nevrmind.
The person on otherside must be someone who is not expecting her to say love you at the end. Did you ask her who was s/he on the other side of phone. Must be a teacher!
No, I never say love you to anyone when I talk to him/her on phone!

Yeah, I did that to my boss one time. He was leaving and I said, "Drive careful, Love you!" We both had a good laugh over that one. I guess with the folks you work with you spend so much time with them that you get into comfortable speech patterns with them just like your loved ones. Still....if you don't embarrass easily it is pretty funny! Happy myLotting!

I often say "love you" while talking to my bf and so it becomes a constant habit. i had to hold back my tongue many times while talking to other guy friends. it tends to come out freely and of course its so weird and i had to apologize that it came out unintentionally.
I wish i could say love you more to my family too. But somehow i seldom do it. It doesn't sound right and i feel awkward.. It's more easier to talk to them frankly without any extra emotions..

hi
its sometimes very awkward, explaining why we have used "love you" to some friend.and even there were sometimes, when i used that words to my friend,i really find it strange explaining y we use it.
but when i say these words or hear some one saying it for me,it really feels very nice and makes one with energetic and boosts up the energy levels.
love you all

That really is funny! I never been in that situation but my friend did. She was send text messages to her boyfriend (oh, yeah, full of love contents) At the same time, she send some texts to her family. Then after messaging here and there, she mixed up and send a love message to her father. Her father didn't say anything but her mom send a reply "Yeah, whatever, we love you too"
I can imagine what I'll do if I were her

Haha...that's really funny, and it's a cute one. :)
It's indeed a good habit to have, however he or she have to know the correct situation for saying that, or else it'll be kind of embarrassing and further explaination needed, lol.
Btw, as far as i know, there're families in western countries they really make this a good habit to express their care for thier loved ones by saying 'I love you' frequently.
