I may be young, but I do remember the days that nothing else in the world matter

What happened to the world? I guess I just grew up huh. I remember the good days when I was little. All our family and members really listened to was oldies. I remember the radio station oldies but goodies. Every weekend we would have a cookout with good neighbors or the neighborhood. We all would gather together and eat our burgers, hotdogs and chicken with kids running around playing. Then we bust out the oldies and we all gather and dance. Man, I loved it so much and wish I could go back to that feeling and site. Yes, the worlds different and things are not the way they use be, but we can get near it right. What would you recommend doing to get back to that feeling? I can't think of many reasons but want to hear some of your opinions.

Hi, balzomo, it seems that you are emotional about the odies, the past days, with the realatives, friends, films, songs. Thought all of those were gone, but they surly impressed ours. Please remember the classic, the era belongs to some old people.
as you konw, time is passing, all is advancing. When recalling the past times, we also focus the current, it is a good balance.

Oh yes,I know what you mean.We had neighbors that had 5 kids and there was just the 2 of us.They used to come over and bring their choo choo train shaped grill. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and sodas. Then we would eat ice cream. We would take the record player and listen to Elvis and other great late 60's and early 70's music. We would dance and the boys would sneak around the side of the screened porch and scare us.Lol Then we would go out and catch lightening bugs, hundreds of them.
No one gets together very much any more or wants to have fun and dance. There are barely anymore lightening bugs around like when I was a kid.I guess because it has got all built up.
