how many days will you last without sleeping?

The longest time I stayed awake without any sleep at all is 22 hours.. I cannot do more than that because if I do, I will feel very horrible.. I've experiences it before and my eyes kind of got blurry. I don't want that to happen again because I hate feelings like that. You know, feeling dizzy, dozy, sleepy and horrible

the longest ive never slept was 3 days... it was crazy. drafting plans for my projects back in college.I saw the sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset, it was weird and i actually lost track of time for a bit... on the 3rd day i can already feel my hands trembling. i slept a loooooong time after that...

You are fortunate because you get to do the job that you like. I think that is the reason why you are able to go on without sleep for two days straight. And the reward afterward are waiting for you, you are granted by the company to sleep the whole day, whereas in other companies if you don't sleep then it is your problem. For me, I am used to have regular sleep and if I don't get the sleep I need my eyes will start to swell and dark circles would appear. I will be very tired and can't focus on what I am doing anymore. I think your projects must be very exciting and it challenges your creativity, your mind and also your energy levels. I can well understand your situation as a software professional...i myself is a computer science students and its a living hell when it comes to meeting the deadlines..I hardly had any sleep for 4 days just to finish off my final project.. first 2 days without sleep and only 3 hours of sleep in the next few days...

I can only last a day without sleep. The maximum would be 30hours. I can no longer go beyond that because I am just weak when it comes to avoiding sleep. I am not sure if I can last two days but in my entire life I have not done that yet. Maybe some people are strong and can really last longer without sleep than others.

Wow...2 days without sleep..gah. I don't think I can handle that. I've tried not sleeping for 17 hours and yeah, I was pretty much dozing off even if I was standing. haha

I read somewhere today that if you go 10 days without sleep, you can die. I am not sure how true that is, but I do remember in my gradtuae school days studies in sleep deparivation showed how motor and cognitive skills failed after so many hours/days. But the bottom line is that even sometimes when we think we have not had any sleep (while in bed) we may have actually dozed off now and then for a few minutes without realizing it.
