I just don't know, how Java hosting is different as i heard til now, about Windows hosting and Linux hosting but when i saw today Java Hosting, i not understand after the reading of description given there. If you know something then please tell me more about that. i notice that Java hosting is costlier then other types of hosting means more reliable then others type. is it so?

I have heard about Java hosting. But I am sorry that I don't know much about it. It's also an alternate method of hosting. But you cannot say that it is more efficient than windows and Linux hosting. If you analyze that way, you will reach at Linux hosting which is proved to be highly efficient when compared to other hosting techniques.

but Its much costlier then any other types of hosting whether windows or linux. linux hosting is very cheap and windows is some little difference but java hosting is much more expensive then both of these. if this is the case, then i think there must be anything or any reason for that. isn't it?

well, why java hosting is quite so different from other kinds hosting like PHP, ASP, is because Java is different from them from the nature, Java is running on the JVM(Java Virtual Machine), every java object is running on the JVM, and each JVM implemented JMM (Java Memory Model). Once a JVM started, the system will allocated a lot of memory to the JVM to build the JMM, usually on JVM need at least 256M memory. so it's not possible for a server to hold too much JVM instances. that's why Java hosting is so expensive. Regarding PHP is totally a different story due to the fact that PHP is a simple interpreter language, once you visit a php page, the php processor simple interpret the php scripts line by line, and freeze all the used memory at the execution completion. Java is mainly used to build large scaled enterprise application, and PHP is just a simple html processor, they are in different level in my eyes. By the way, I'm a java ee developer. LOL, but play with PHP in my spare time, PHP just like a toy I think.
