our life must be a living sacrifice

In romans 11-12 Paul was writing to the jewish people to offer their bodies as a living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act of worship. As christian we are called to make a different king of sacrifice. God desire from us living sacrifices, and ourselves are the sacrifices. Like the rams, goats and lambs that were once presented at the alter, we too become his. For us to offer our selves a living sacrifices, we do it by dying to our own desires and putting God first. We are living sacrifices when we choose his will over our own and we follow him instead of the world.

Making ourselves as living sacrifice is a tough task however we need to try to "do His will" so that we can be in His will.I guess even keeping ourselves holy is a part of sacrifice.
I hope some do not mistake this "sacrifice" as the sacrifice of animals and men...No...God is not looking for any of these..HE only seeks a pure heart

the unrighteous.during these sacrifices, worshipers there would dance and strike
their tambourines to drown out the child's cries as it was thrown into the furance-
belly of molech. how disgusting humans can be!

yes we are a living sacrifices to him as long as we walk in his footsteps,and give up the worldly things.you have to put him first in your life in all things.you have to want him before any body or thing in this world.God Bless You and have a nice day.

Hi willy6,
I may have another interpretation on the word "sacrifice."
I probably will use the word opportunity.
I find this more appropriate because of free will I am given a chance to know
God. To love him more by embracing this opportunities in life.
Jesus is the redeemer and therefore HE is the sacrifice.
WE are already redeemed after sacrificing HIMSELF because of HIS endless LOVE to US.
Don't you think that sacrifice is too morbid?
