Peeps, do you have any idea on how to make your skin look great? I am really conscious about my skin. I do not have enough budget to maintain from a dermatology. I wanted to ask from anyone of any other options in taking care of skin aside from going to a dermatology and do facial and some derma thing just to maintain a clean, bright skin. Hope you could help me about it. I want a practical way. I have a little scars on my face, what do you think is the best cream or ointment to use? Thanks for responding.

For scars the best things is Medrema- its a cream for scars and runs around $8.00 a tube- but is well worth it. That and drink a lot of water- that is one way to get your skin glowing and it draws attention away from scars, etc.. Hope this helps. Good luck and Happy mylotting to you.

I have a few tips for you:
1. good sleep. go to bed by 11 pm and have 8 hours of sleep.
2. water. try to have water instead of coco cola.
3. vegetable and fruit. more vegetable and fruit, less meat, especially red meat.
4.avoid from strong sunshine. When you are outside try to use SPF products to avoid strong sunshine.
Last but not least keep happy and take easy every day.

hey buddy the best cheapest tonic to your skin and health is "WATER". Drink water as much as possible. The toxins in your body are wiped out and your skin looks fresh and vibrant. The glow that comes will be natural and you won't need to spend money on it.
Second thing is eat raw papaya and apply it on to your face and neck too. Papaya has very good cleansing effect and it makes your skin clean and clear.
Mix Lemon drops and rose water in equal quantity. Then apply the solution on your face and neck daily before going to bed. Wash off with lukewarm water in the morning...you feel the change in 3 to 4 days...by regular application you will be amazed to see your skin.
There are many tips that are coming out from my mind but i cannot give you all in mylot as there is no much space..haha

In my opinion what ever cream we use all these are temporary and it will definitely harm becase all are not processed in natural process they add soem chemicals and preservation to keep it for future so I beleive that if we drink lot of water, and eat vegetables and boiled food more and one more thing we have to avoid fried and junk food we should maintain a well balanced food and food should be taken at proper time
the most important for skin glow is the mental peace

if you have a fair skin or tan skin then thats great dont try to make other things to make it lighter because it think it wont coz thats your original skin. anyways to stay a healthy glowing skin, whats important is to be always clean. use moisturizing soaps that are not harsh for the skin like baby baths. thats good for us too not just for babies. and moisturizing lotion after the bath. and avoid too much exposure to sunlight and dust, smoke.

For my face I use a day cream. Nothing expensive, just the one I see at that time.
I don't always buy the same one. It is better to change every once in a while.
Try not to use to much perfume soaps. And not to much soap. It is better to wash your face with only water.
Sauna is also very good. Personally I think it is better to take a shower and don't dry off before going in. This way the skin does not dry out so fast.
But, some say this is not good.
I also use eye cream. From nivea. (I used to work for Nivea BDF)
Take care.

I'm also a Filipina and luckily had a fair skin but i keep on maintaining it. I'm using night ang day cream (at affordable price), drinking lots of h2o daily, aware of food to eat and not going to bed late at night. I dont put heavy make up, just to be presentable is enough for me but religously having a facial cleaning monthly. And most of all,I try to live with a peaceful life. Because a peaceful mind results to a positive outlook. Dont worry about your little scars, better to focus on cleanliness from within. I hope it will help, even in my own little way.

me too don't have great skin, but i just make sure that i clean myself everyday. i just make sure that it's free from dust. and i use soap that is hypoallergenic, because i am prone to allergies. and i used soap that are just gentle to skin and not very harsh. moisturize it daily after taking a bath and before going to bed.

Hello Jcbelle,
I will reccomend that you invest in a tube of soy, shea, coco,or mango butter.
These body butters that I have mentioned above, are great for blemishes and scars.

What I know about having a good skin is drinking lots of water to make your skin not dehydrated. But for the scar, I really have no idea though, but it is best that you maintain a healthy diet so that you can have good glowing skin. Lotion is also one way to make your skin smooth too, it takes a lot of daily dedication to it and should be made as a daily beauty regimen. I hope I can be of help to you, have a nice day :D
