In the sentence "During the march toward war in Iraq,someone sent me this joke:"You know the world has changed when you realize the best rapper is a white guy,the best golfer is a black guy, and Germany doesn't want to go to war.",what's the meaning of "rapper" ? whose dictionary entry is "a door knocker".

someone that raps...a rapper is a master mind of lyric rhythms like tupac, dmx, ice cube, mike jones all those guys are called rappers they make music talk fast you know those people that's a rapper. And the guy they are refering to is Eminem the black golfer is tiger woods.

I wouldn't say that they're not suppose to just african american it's just uncommon for a white person to be as famous in rapping as eminem has gotten. There are plenty of white rappers out there they just haven't made it big and it's hard for them to considering it's dominated by african americans.

rapping is an american style of singing.check youtube for eminem or snoop dogg,or even run-dmc.
make sure if you use this word,you have two "p" in it.
one "p" in english totally changes the meaning to "raper",and you don't want to call anybody that in english,trust me.

A rapper is a musical artist. Eminem, Akon, 50 Cent, etc... - it is referring to Eminem in this statement.
