I'm all for helping the community, i donate as much as i can to different organizations, but i cant stand when they try to force you to make a contribution. I had a phone call yesterday, this one was the worst yet. They asked if i could make a donation of $30, and i told them that i couldn't because i lost my job, so the guy say's I'm sorry to here that, but how about $20, I'm like no, i just cant do it, then he goes on to say, " we see that you have donated before and that's why we're calling you, we just need a little more help, how about $10". I got so upset and just hung up,he just wouldn't stop, I'm a single mom, i just lost my job, why are you heckling me for 10 bucks. Was i wrong for hanging up? Has any one experienced the same thing? Please share!

no, i dont think you were wrong to hang up. i would have too. i dont think they have any right to heckle you like that. i would be on the phone to their organization complaining about the heavy sales pitch. tell them from now on, you will be donating elsewhere. that'll fix em!

If they decide to call me again, i will definitely take your advice, it is just so rude and disruptive, I was having a pretty good day until they called me.
