Many arguments we have everyday have no real reason. The argument that you have over a brand of coffee, the stupid argument when you bang a guy's car, or maybe you say something that the other person doesn't agree to(like Pasta is delicious).
Most of these arguments can be defeated by simply agreeing to the opposite.
For example
You: Friends rocks!(The TV series)
Him: No. Its a bullsh* series about some stupid people trying to get a stupid life
you: Its funny and it makes perfect sense.
Him: Its crap
You: Fine. I agree.
Him: What?
You: You're right. Friends Sucks
Him: But you just said....
You: but now I said you're right. Deal with it
This is a rather melodramatic example. Anyways, do you agree?

No, I don't believe in it. I feel that it is better that you prove your point in an argument to end it. I never liked giving up. Whenever I gave up, I felt a little down and out and whenever I win a discussion, I think I am on top of the world.
My theory is that even if I am wrong, I should make opposite party belive in my point. That is the best way to end an argument.

hihi.. i definitely agree with you that the best way to defeat an argument is to agree to the opposite.. i always like to agree to the opposite no matter what people say..i just like to say the opposite, although sometimes i am not really on the opposite side, but i just like to argue with other people's argument..and insist on my own stand..it is just my habit..
