Is doing an MBA necessary after doing Engineering?

I've done my bachelors in Computer Engineering and now I'm working since the last one year. My family thinks I should do an MBA to complete my education. But if my current job is good and I am enjoying being an engineer, is it necessary to go for an MBA. I'm extrememly confused at this point of time. Someone please help.

It may be a good idea to ask around first. And to really think about it for yourself. Though admittedly it would really look good on your c.v and you can easily get promoted for that. And what about the wealth of information that you can further learn? It all depends on you. You don't have to make a decision right away. Give yourself time to think and to pray for guidance.

Thanks for the advise. I have time till October to think about it.. Am thinking of other options like GRE for MS to stay in the technical line. That way I can have a master's degree and do what I love too..

It depends on if your either looking to be promoted in the future, or if you are looking to making more money in the future. Your family just wants the best for you, but you have to live your life how you want it. If you want to go further into your studies then go , if not , do what you love.
