Postage Goes Up Monday

I didnt know that! It seems like I am never aware of these increases anymore because they happen so frequently! I have been meaning to mail a package to a friend in Germany. I guess I had better get my butt in gear and do it before the weekend is over! Anything to save a few cents! I currently have 2 books of the forever stamps hanging on my fridge. I am seriously considering buying a couple more. I dont use many stamps. I would say I average about 4 per month. I only have to mail 2 bills, but I write to my great Aunt and occassionally send cards to people. I am thankful that I dont have to worry about postage stamps because I do most of my bills online. But it is a catch 22 for the few stamps that I do need. The price of stamps keeps rising because people keep switching to other methods - email and paperless billing. I wonder how long it is before the USPS wont even exist anymore because it isnt cost effective? That is actually a scary thought!

I dont use stamps very often. I may only buy less than ten a year. So I really dont fool with worrying about it right now.
