Why do people cheat?

Ive had my share of heartbrakes in the past I just would like to know from someone why is it that people cheat I mean I dont get it just brake up with the person dont cheat I mean I neva cheated unless I was cheated on other then that I just broke up with people to avoid the extra drama

WEll first I want to say welcome to mylot PRACYCE. 
Now you are asking why would people cheat, well I cannot speak for everyone but I can speak on my opinion about it. I actually have done a little research about it and they claim some people have it in their genes. Like if a parent does it than a child can do it as well. And another reason I feel people do it because they want that feel good feeling you get with someone new. I think some people are lacking affection or something else in the relationship that they feel they need. I am not sure if this is true but hey I looked it up and that is what I found.
