I do not think that Internet will die due to high traffic. Now, we are using optical fiber as the connection to all the servers around the world. From what I know, optical fiber is very fast and the capacity is very large. So, it can support very high Internet traffic. So, it think that the Internet will not die.
If it is true that Internet will die, then there will be new technology to solve it. Maybe all the computer connections will be using optical fiber at high speed and high capacity. And, I think that there will be more advance technology by CISCO or more advance network system will be developed.
So, Internet will not die that easily.

You are a data bank. I have studied about optical fibre and other related technologies. But You have learned it in a proper way. You are really comparing your studies with the real world models. Right?
That's a good quality of a student.
By the way, may I know which engineering course are you studying?

I do not think that Internet will die. Now, we are using optical fiber as connection between servers. From what I know, optical fibers are transmitting data at extremely fast rate and the capacity is very large too. So, it would be able to support the high Internet traffic. I think that increasing Internet traffic would not be a problem.
If, it is true that Internet will die on 2010. I am sure that before the problem arises, there would be more advance technology to solve the problem. Maybe we will be all using optical fiber for our home network and the Internet speed will be very fast and high capacity.
I think that CISCO will be able to create more advance system and network system. So, Internet will not die easily.

I do not belive it will happen. I think that that is an internet hoax. the net it too inportant right now to let anything happen to it. I am sure that the tech will increase and upgrade to keep up with demand.

It will not die. There is new protocol for IP inorder to produce more. That is IPv6 technology.

Ummm, I think the internet is going to die sooner, because when i try to play a popular game on the internet, I get dc'd often, because internet traffic. Especially Toontown.... I enjoy that game, but it disconnects me 85% of the time.

Where the eff did you get that from?
That makes no sense at all. The internet is made from servers that keep being added for new websites, gameservers, ect not some kind of boat that has a capacity limit and sinks if it gets too full. Increasing traffic is a good thing lol

I don't think that that's going to happen. All of the computer experts/Internet experts/software experts, etc. are going to make sure that the Net continues to be strong for years to come. Besides, even if it does die out, what will it harm everyone to go back to reading books and using their imaginations to solve problems?
Also, more people would probably take to doing more outdoor activities, thus allowing them to lose weight, thus cutting down on the number of heart attacks and other nasty diseases that come about in part because of inactivity.

Who made that prediction? I do not think or can even begin to conceive that the internet will die next year. Internet is such an integral part of our lives now. I myself cannot live without internet and I need to surf the net at least a few hours a day. Also, almost everyone uses the internet nowadays. Trust me, the internet won't be dying anytime soon or maybe in the next ten years.
