Does having kids affect your career?

I think it does in a way that you have to take care of them and then focus on your career is very difficult to handle. The children needs you and then you have to do your job and get and overtime and so forth for your kids, but then your kids feels neglected if your into your work so much that they tend to do something to make them feel noticed by you. It is hard to handle the situation, just hope to keep things balanced between the two so that you won't loose one on your way.

im not married, dont have even kids...but my point of view with these things... will not surely affect your career..all you have to do is to practice time management. When you know how to balance your time with your work and family for sure it will not affect at all.You need to set priorities also, and if you have a chance to spend with your family do it! It's better to have a quality time than quantity of it while making sure your not losing focus at work.

I guess it depends on how you manage your time between your work and family. Well for a single's point of view here if your work is that time demanding that you cant even insert a day for your self, having kids will might ruin your career and sacrifices should be made. Having kinds would be great though, its a career too, and your baby might be your greatest source of energy to every day's reality. hehe For me though having kids will affect my career as a young artist, well not for now... ol maybe next year haha..
