How Do You Make Extra Money?

Today I've been listing items for sale on Ebay. I tend to do this at times when I need some extra money. I'm planning on taking my 8 year old daughter and my "adopted" 15 year old daughter on a weekend trip to St. Louis, Missouri on Memorial Day weekend so I'm trying to save up enough money for the trip. I find that selling on Ebay can sometimes be difficult but other times I can really make some extra money. What are some things you do to make extra money? Do you have sites that you use regularly?

Other than myLot I only really make some money on Clixsense. It's not much but adds up after a couple of months. I don't have as much time as I did all winter to be online working. I have some crafts I'd like to sell on e-Bay but really don't know how to do it. Any suggestions? I live in St. Louis. Are you planning to visit the Arch? It's quite interesting. Enjoy your trip to the midwest.

Wow, I live just north of Columbia. I don't have a whole lot of money to go very far so St. Louis was my only option. I'm planning on us taking in a couple Cardinals/Royals games. My "adopted" daughter is a Royals fan and my daughter and I are Cardinals fans, so I think it will be a whole lot of fun. I went to the arch when I was a teenager and it was fun, I might try to take them to it too, I haven't really decided everything we are going to do just yet. Do you have any other suggestions? I know there is alot to do, the Zoo, Busch Gardens, etc, can you think of anything else? As far as Ebay goes, do you have an account with them. I would help you anyway I can to list some items, just let me know.

Maybe visiting Grant's Farm off Gravois and 270. Six Flags is another fun thing to do but it's very costly. Go Cards. We were at a game the other night and it was fun even though we lost. I would definitely take the girls to the Zoo and even maybe the Jewel Box in Forest Park. There is also the Butterfly House on Olive St. Road maybe 3-4 miles from 270. I haven't been there yet but one of these days I want to go. Thanks for your offer to help with e-Bay. I am a member but have no clue what to do beyond signing on. Are there 5-10 basic steps to follow? I'd love to try it since I love a challenge!

The Magic House is a good one too. Botanical Gardens, Science Center, The Carousel at Faust Park...there is a ton of stuff to do. The zoo is always fun.

I sell some of the things I don't need around the house anymore when I need some extra money. Only I don't use Ebay. I use craigslist. I do not care for EBAY's fees. Especially if what I am trying to sell doesn't sell. Then I am out money instead of making it. :-P Have a great night! :-)

I totally agree with you on the fees. I have recently listed a couple of things that did not sell. Now, I am stuck with paying for nothing. Craig's List is wonderful...except when you get flagged. Last year, a friend of mine got into some trouble and asked me to take his dogs and give the puppies that they had away. I tried posting to CL, and they kept on flagging and deleting me. I know that you can't sell animals there, but they said that giving them away was fine. I never have understood to this day why they kept deleting me. I ended up just driving around the city to people that I knew and they found good homes for the pups with the people that they knew. It all worked out in the end.

I have listed on eBay and made some extra cash. I have had yard sales,I also am a member of some survey sites that I make money off of almost monthly now. It is harder to make money nowadays though with the way things are going. Good luck on making that money..

What types of things do you find are selling well right now? I haven't had much time for listing on Ebay or anywhere else for quite some time and I believe I will be even busier in the coming weeks. I usually post here, take surveys and list a few items on refundsweepers to trade or sell when I need a little extra cash. But nothing has been really working too great lately. Good luck with your sales.

Hi singlemommy, I have not done anything like that but my hubby has sold things on ebay and made quite a good packet on it, I won't know how to sell things on it, but what ever you can make, I wish you luck. Tamara

Other than my home business, I don't really do a lot for extra money. I mean, I do have a few websites that I hang out in, but that's mostly for fun, that money doesn't really do a lot for me.

Besides mylot I don't go to sites to make money. I tried the ebay thing and it didn't really work for me.....for the amount of time it took to pack and ship it..I made very little. I do craft sales for extra...but they are scheduled way ahead of time so I can't just jump in if I need a little extra...I used to bake cookies etc and sell them...back when I had the kids at home and needed it for Christmas etc.

Aww, you are coming to see me on Memorial Day weekend? That is so nice of you. I sell some stuff on eBay. I also do some work for my sister when I need some money. I did a little work for her this past week and I will be doing some next week to. She pays me $10 an hour cash, so it works for me.

Well yes, of course there is mylot. I also like Gather a lot. I can socialize with people and get paid for it, can't beat that. I also write for associated content and Ehow, even though I have still relatively new there and it takes a little time to get going on there, but I am really close to cashing out there, and am hoping I can do so this month. I also earn Amazon.com gift cards by doing searches on swagbucks.com

Hi, two days ago I just redeemed USD 75 check from a site called www.globaltestmarket.com . I know it's not much, but I'm really happy to get some extra money. All I have to do in that site is completing surveys that they send to my e-mail. Quite easy and simple really. Maybe you can give it a try. It works for me, and I'm sure it works for you. Good Luck.

MyLot's really the first of this type of site I've used, just trying it out. I dont do the ebay thing much, either. I tend to do random website design, computer repair, or donate plasma for extra money. Oh, also, it's good to see others from MO :) I'm in Joplin

I have two full-time jobs, one in the morning and in the evening. On the afternoon I have to attend to my class. When I go back home I do everything I can do online. What else can I ask for? You just have to be serious if you really want to do something.

I write articles, fill out online surveys and myLot. All three of these bring in a hundred or more per month, most of the time more. I hope you have a nice weekend!

Damn! reminds me i should asked my friend about it. she's good in selling through ebay. thanx.

I just started being a waiter and it makes great tips, and at the end of each shift you get a handful of cash! If you have experience, great, just ask some local restaurants if they are hiring and specify you only want a few shifts a week, or maybe just two. Say you can fill in when people call in sick and stuff. It's gotta be one of the best jobs to earn quick cash!

I make extra money by teaching basic English conversation to Koreans here in the Philippines. I also teach them vocabulary and pronunciation. I love teaching them because they are very particular with grammar which is much of a challenge for me. Koreans are nice people as they show warmth all the time. I enjoy being with them and learning more of their culture. Another way for me to earn extra income is singing in special occasions like in weddings and birthday parties. I get a relatively good amount of money. I have with me my boyfriend as the guitarist. We both love performing and of course music primarily.
