Do you have management skills ? that is what will determine how you get on, If you are just managing an Internet cafe then you will be fine and get by with little computer knowledge. There will or should be a tech guy there to keep everything up and running for you

I have experience as supervisor, hopefully that would be enough, hehe but for this instance , the customers are my boss, and i don't have an assistant for now since i'm just starting, I'm kinda lucky though that i have bff who's an accountant so she helps me manage my finances... Her brother is a tech guy, am i lucky or not?

I am a secondary education graduate but I have computer shop business 1st find a location where there is no or few competitors. Ask if there is internet access in that area it should be 2 or 3 mbps speed. You need to put promos in your computer shop your price should be more affordable than the others. Be friendly to your costumer. You need to ask for technician's help. Dont forget anti virus its very important.

It is hard to manage a net cafe. You can face a plenty of technical problem. Be ready to face virus problems very frequently.
But apart from this, one important thing that you should keep it in mind that you should maintain a notebook, where you should write the name and address of your customers. And it is preferable to check their ID cards before accessing the computers. Be ware of any cyber anti social activities..

Yes , i actually let them log in their name, so that I can learn their names , and i can be first name basis to them, hehe marketing strategy. I also don't permit them to insert USB unless scanned at the server, I also have K9 program to restrict them from surfing on virus infected websites

You will have to learn about networking. You must link all the computers from the caffe in a local network. Also, for that you need a server that is recommanded to run on unix(apache recommended). Also you need to intall a sfecific software on every computer, a software that is working on the local network. This is for restricting the acces only for an amut of time(the one paid the the client). On theother hand you have to pay th rent for the place where you are making yourintenet caffe, and also you have to pay the electricity bills. try to set a price in a way that you make profit. It is useless if all the possible profit goen on the electricity bills. In the end you need ambition and selfconfidence.
I with you luck, Robert
