In the sentence"I've decided they should play themselves in pivotal roles on The Apprentice. They both agree and do not seem put out at all.", does "pivotal" mean "integral" and what's the meaning of "do not seem put out"?

pivotal..i guess way to describe it is "rotating".
to have something on a pivot is to have it balanced on another object.
pivotal can also mean "of greatest importance"or "crucial"
"do not seem put out" means it doesn't bother them, does not inconveniance them in any way.

Yes, "pivotal" means "integral" or "essential" here.
In this case, "do not seem put out" means "do not seem bothered" or "do not seem unpleasantly surprised."
