Where would we be without the alphabets?

I can see this two ways. We would be entirely dependent on oral tradition and professions would be passed only from father to son, master to apprentice. We would lose much of the knowledge gained during any generation, as historically, we have lost many skills since the advent of labor-saving machines and the artisans who have previously mastered their arts have not passed down their skills.
On the other had, pictures would still be here? The picture languages would rise, as they did in Egypt thousands of years ago. I was amazed by a friend of mine who, in college, accurately (within reason) described the functions of a Saturn V rocket using only hieroglyph.
I think it's up to humanity to make the most creative use with what we have.

If we have no alphabets, that's mean we are still on the pre historic ages. To answer your question, just imagine the pre historic living, attitude, habit and community. But don't imagining it would like the Flintstone on cartoon. Alphabets is a greatest invention in human beings. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Without the alphabets, we would still be counting our 1, 2, 3s until now.
