The term Spirituality concerns itself with the matters of the spirit. Spirituality in a sense implies or indicates a separation between body and soul. We may also relate the term with the development of our inner self.
But spirituality does not stand for religion. There is a distinction between the two. The spirituality is more in a believer having a faith which is personal and more open to new ideas. It is the individual's connection with god.
Spirituality is also made synonymous with having gurus like Sri Sri Ravishankar and following their teaching to achieve the final goal of nirvana or liberation or salvation.
So what is spirituality? Is it the need of the hour? Will it help solve the many problems our world faces?

Spirituality is direct communion, or the seeking of direct communion, with the Divine. Or more accurately, realizing that you are already One with the Divine, indivisible and eternal. Thus the Divine is within you, not outside of you.
That is the entire purpose of spirituality.
However, the purpose of religion is somewhat different. It has mistaken the image for the truth.
Spirituality cleanses the soul of a human being who is the need of the hour.A cleansed and clean society will solve all the problems of the world.

Spirituality is the connection with the inner self. It is that one thing which brings total peace and rest to our minds. It brings us freshness. Anything that makes us connect to our spirit is what spirituality is. Yes but spirituality is in its dying phase. And this is due to commercialization by some and its relation to religion which people have wrongly assumed. We do need to connect with our spirits again. It may not solve all the problems we face. But it can definately reduce.

Spirituality is one's faith and relationship with his God. How deep is your understanding and experiences that developed your faith to God here on earth can be a ladder and depth of your relationship with your God.
