On this moment, their is already the sign up link on the homepage of gmail (http://www.gmail.com) for new users or new registrations. No need for referral from other friends who have gmail accounts. Anyway, this is much better for others also to afford use gmail as their mail client since this is much more better than others.

That's correct. You need an invite in order to sign up to GMail. There are a lot of websites and forums in which members offer invites to people. You should check them out. GMail is great, so don't miss it.

Someone must send u an invite. That's the only way to make a Gmail account, unless there is a different way that I dont know about.
