I said a prayer before i went into the Bank, I have 2 accounts, one with this Bank and one with another Bank, You know how the Bank will charge you money when you are Negative. Well I went into the Bank and talked to the Bank Maneger she was real nice, I had owed like -90.00 all because I owed $4.00, I haven't checked on my account lately, yesterday I checked my account and it said - $90.00 I talked to here and she gave me a Break, I thought that was so nice of her. I thanked her and I told her since she straighted ourt my Account, I would put some more money in the Bank, because I didn't want to close it. Was I lucky or what? I am so happy, ever thing worked out fine. Anything like this ever happened to you?

I have a -300 balance on my account and my bank won't let me close my account until that balance is paid.
In the meantime they keep charging me 11 dollars a month as a fee to keep it open.
What the heck?
I have to call my bank to see if they will stop charging me as I will never be able to pay off the balance.
I am glad you got a break. I hope I have the same luck.

Why don't you go in and tslk to them like I did. even say a prayer, that might help. Wow, that is a lot, that can mess up your Credit, and you won't ever be able to open up anymore bank accounts, you need to take care of that. Werte you a long time customer? I hope you can get things straigten out.

I have had that account for 2 years. I have had a few checks bounce and as a result it is over 300 negative balance because the bank charges me 35 dollars fee for bounced checks.
I was told I cannot open another account elsewhere by the bank if I don't pay it off.
Sigh.
I will talk to them and see if they can just wave the monthly fees so they don't keep adding up.
I have no idea when I will be able to pay that balance off as I am not working.

don't you love it when things work out for the best like that. that happened to me with my cell phone bill lastl week. they charged me for something they were not suppose to, so because of that something they were suppose to charge me for they took off my bill. which was a savings to me of $80. gotta love things like that

I had owed like -90.00 all because I owed $4.00
Well, it may be because you owed Rs. 90 to the bank and bank needed money from you, that may be the reason why the bank person was good to you.
but in any case if we find good person in banks, it is always good. You were lucky that day!

I never owed money from the bank and i never talked to the bank manager. Here in a bank which i am having an account,is worst. They talk very rude and they are the most irritated employees i have ever seen.I don't know why those people are reckless.I hate to go that bank so i changed my account to another bank.We are saving money they should be polite to us or they should be nice. This is what i think

I used to work at a bank. People came in all of the time with problems like this. Many times the fees will be reversed if you have been a customer there for a while and it is the first time that it has happened. The people who drove me crazy are the ones who would come in every week wanting us to reverse the fees!
It sounds like you have a good bank with good customer service! It is always nice to know because there are so many banks out there that just dont care about their customers!

Must be that quick prayer helped! Gee, I think you were very lucky. It's almost unheard of for a bank to actually help like that. I've never had that happen because my bank offers that free overdraft protection and it can happen twice before they actually charge you for it. Doesn't mean that you don't have to pay what's negative, just that they don't access any fees for correcting it the first two times. I've never overdrawn, but I've heard many have had problems. You know, it would seem fair that they charge something, but $90 bucks is a steep fee for something like that. (Not that it takes that much expertise...or brains...to get into their computer and fix it.) 90 bucks is like loan shark fees lol. I'm so glad you lucked out there!!! Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day!!

It happened to us. This week we got friends of mine who own a contracting business to draw plans for our new bathroom and to give us an ensuite and make the house more handicapped friendly. But for the time, we have to stay in a Motel. There is one about a mile away, but it has these lovely buffets and there goes my diet!

That was very good of the lady to do; Some of them have good hearts especially if you talk to them and all; But no it didnt. When I was a kid though, I used to take out a lot of books and had to take some back; well, the lady there looked at me and said, well, it's Christmas, I'll let you bring them all back and not pay. I didn't expect that. I expected to pay, kid or no kid; but that lady was real nice to me and I never forgot her generosity.

Yes this has happened to me before now and over being a small amount overdrawn but I too managed to get the charges taken off which was a real life saver at the time. I think it is good when the bank does things like that I do not think they would do it too many times but its nice to know that they do give us a break from time to time.

I think that it's great when a bank will still be so charitable, even when the economy is so bad. Banks are okay but they aren't my favorite things, before I learned all that I need to know about banks, and even now I still don't know half of the things I should, but in any case, I overdrafted, the fault I believed was the banks, I was nice to the bank but they weren't so much to me. Of course this is my own opinion, in any case, I do business with a different bank now, and to pay back the debt to the bank I still owe, I go to another location that is closer to home, and much nicer.

That's great. I have been interacting with some banks here and I find that no matter how your records are they are pretty strict and they give do not give any extension or do such things. They are very money minded and do not even like to listen to the problems of their customers.

It's easy to make a mistake and have a checking account go a little negative. It's human error to make math errors, or sometimes have a really old check suddenly clear after you've written it off. It's obscene the fees that the banks charge for these small indescretions. I don't think the fee should be any higher than the amount you were overdrawn by. Fair is fair, but what the banks do is robbery.

I promise I will put some more money in the Bank and not Close it, if she straighten it out, I callled the Bank this Morning and I had a Zero Balance, with 21 cents, so it won't close, I am going to the bank today and put some more money in my account, I will be more careful now. It seems your prayers were answered my friend. Did you feel your guardian angel around you at all? Banks are normally pretty stubborn when it comes to charges, so you managed to get away lightly there. Well done!
Brightest Blessings.
