I don't download much. I use yahoo chat, orkut, browse in the internet and also use myLot. Right now I am using unlimited internet. Do you think limited internet with 1 GB is enough for one month? Should I change to limited internet?

Hope some day the limit will increase to 5 GB at the cost of 1 GB and this will help to change the plan to lower tariff plan.

Believe me, you will easily exceed the limit of 1GB. I have gone through this package long ago, may be years ago. Guessing from the number of posts you have made here alone, you seem to be pretty active. Images consume pretty most of the browsing transfer. My advise is to check the usage of your browsing for a month using a free bandwidth meter like Bitmeter: http://codebox.no-ip.net/controller?page=bitmeter2 Then you can decide what to choose. Since then I started hating anything limited, I don't agree in capping the transfer, instead the ISP's should go for low speed unlimited instead of giving high speed limited usage. And if you did go for the limited usage connection, you can use Opera browser and use the instant disable and enable (Show images) of images feature in that.

I am active member and I do spend lots of time in myLot. I thought it won't take much width and thought only downloading songs and movies take bandwidth.

Doing some basic maths 1024 MB/30 Days gives you 34.13 MB for your daily usage (excluding high usage on holidays when you may browse a lot). As told before you can either download the above software or this one: ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter http://www.shaplus.com/bandwidth-meter/ and check the transfer for a day and know the results for yourself.

I am using morzilla. I think I stick on with unlimited internet because sometimes 1 GB might not be enough.

I really dont know but the first responder seems to have given a very accurate response. I too am against anything limited, at the back of the mind I would alwasy be thinking of how much I have used up and how much is left, so that takes away the pleasure of net surfing. Recently, I have taken the net at home and have opted for the unlimited version, at a pretty extra cost, but I dont mind it at all.

I'm not really sure. I have no clue about the GB. I know the more you have, the better though.

Yes if you are just surfing that 1 GB should work out for you but be aware that certain sites have huge sizes where pictures are present so may be you would exceed the limit by constantly refreshing, limit out your activities only fr surfing and not downloading, we tend that this is just 20 Kb file and we download but if considered in volume this amounts to huge data usage and the cost would incure exponentially for you. I would rather suggest to take an unlimited plan by paying a little extra after you have used the service for one month you would get an idea if 1 Gb is suffcient for you or not?

I think the cost should get down and the limit should increase. Now a days most people wants more and more limit with less price and if that happens I think almost all houses can have their own internet.

I would have thought it too little even for the amount you use. I guess the best thing to do would be to chat with your ISP because they'll know what your regular useage is and might even suggest that you cut it back. I use far more than that each month but then, I don't go out to work and I use the computer for a lot more things than you do. Brightest Blessings.

I hope they increase the limit to 5 GB or something at the price of 1 GB so that every one can afford it.

I download files everyday and i sometimes exceed 1Gb. I don't think it's a good idea unless you just use the net to surf or something that doesn't need downloading. It would cost you trouble when there will come a time where you need to download stuffs but you can't because it's limited. I think you can fully enjoy your internet connection if there's no limit on the capacity of files you can download. But since you said that you don't download much, then i guess that will be fine for you.

I think most probably the service provider will increase the download limit in the future to may be 5 GB.
