Here is my life experience. It was during my college days. It was one of my friends who got me to smoking. His name is John. In fact he was one of my best friends, staying together in a "room for rent" house near the campus.
John was a heavy smoker. He incited me to smoking saying :
"If you want to smoke, I will buy you all the cigarettes you want for one whole month. Just choose the brands you like. After one month, if you like to stop, that's fine. But, if you like to continue, then it will be all on your own cost".
I thought that was an excellent offer from a friend. So, I agreed !
I chose Winston, and started smoking. And, John kept his promise. Bought me one pack after another !
Thank you very much John ! You were a real good friend !
Then, when the month ended, there it went. John stopped buying me the packs.
But, I couldn't stop, just couldn't ! No way ! So, poor me had to continue on and on !
I just could not forget John , how he found the way to (as a true friend)get me start smoking !!
So, do you smoke ? What made you start smoking ? Did you have a friend like John ?

I've tried smoking before but it made me stop after a couple of days. It was on my high school when i gave it a try. It's just for curiosity sake that's why i tried it. But maybe because of the taste that i was not used to, I stopped it. Fortunately i surpassed the cravings for smoking... Smoking is really dangerous to our health and we must not try it... Have a nice day...

Curiosity made me start smoking. I was just damn curious to know how ciggie tasted like. I wanted to try so bad, when I was 15 I stole 2 sticks from my mom, (salem menthol) and gave one to friend who was also eagered to try too. We both made a promise that the one stick we smoked was gonna be the first and the last. But later unfortunately we started back and still smoke until today. My friend, she is also one of my best friends till now. We sometimes remind each other the unforgettable story and.. laugh:D

No, I don't smoke. I've never smoked. It's a bad habit that I just do not want to have. And your friend, John, seems to be an interesting guy. And I mean it in a good way. I definitely do not mean it, in the negative way. I've never met someone like that.

Yes, John was a very interesting guy. In many things, he was a sincere friend to many of us ! May be he enjoyed smoking, and wanted to share the pleasure with his friends !

Sadly I don't smoke but i do drink occasionally, with friends when ever there's party. I know that smoking can literally wipe out my lungs so, am not taking any chances of smoke. my former friends tried to let me in to smoke but I was strong enough to refuse them. good luck with smoking i hope you get tired of it one day

I remember when I was in my teenage I smoke and I was just curious that time. My friends started to invite me to have smoke and we hide because I was afraid my parents would see me. One day my mother caught me together with my friends smoking and she scold me and was really mad of me. After that I avoid smoke anymore and it was quite difficult to quit first because I consider it as habit. Now I dont smoke anymore and Im glad because smoking is dangerous to health.

Yes, you're right. John didn't force me in any way at all. The decision was entirely mine !
