I am too afraid to grow old without a savings. I don't want the idea of depending on my children for my living expense. I always wanted to live comfortably. In order for me to reach this I have to prepare now.
I want to get your insights on this, I want to know how you prepare for this? I want to know where you place your money for retirement?

I have my own savings in multiple accounts I opened, one in purpose of my future for retirement. And the other for emergency money only..

I am doing absolutely nothing for my retirement. I just recently graduated from college and working my first job, so I figure I'll live it up for a while before worrying about what's gonna happen over 40 years from now. Those 401 K stuff might be completely nonexistent by the time I'm retirement age, so what's the point? I've always believed in savings though, so I put a couple hundred into my savings each month. But the savings is for me to spend later on. I honestly don't want to live past 60, so I'm not ever gonna worry about retirement.

You must learn How to manage your money properly, if you are a religous person you should out your thitings first and offerings unto the Lord, then after that you should start with your savings first, then your expenses and Bills, then after that you should have your maxium alllowance limit for the next month then the extra should go to your emergency fund, incase you have any or just treat your self for a job well done. that is how i manage my money. and it works really!

Well that is great. Travel when you retire. Does it mean that you are already saving money as early as now for your retirement? Having plans of traveling entails a lot of money to spend. I am so inspire by your answer. I do hope that you have starting retirement fund now. Happy myloting.
