for being a run away criminal? like for murder? would you assume that he/she is innocent because you feel you know them or wonder if they were guilty of the crime?
would you turn them in or talk to them first about it? could they talk you out of turning them in?
i was watching unsolved mysteries and this couple had their new friend over and they all watched the show together and this one guy was wanted for murder and as the pictures were being shown and description made they looked over at their new friend and realized he was the killer!!
i think if it was a friend and it was over murder where they had dna proof or something i would turn them in.. if he/she was a person of interest but not charged i may talk to them first.. if it was a spouse or a significant other i dont know what i would do.. other than freak out!!
what would you do?

I'd try to convince him to turn himself in to clear his own name, providing he didn't do it. If he refused to turn himself in, I'd give him a chance to leave and then turn him in...after all I don't want to be charged with harboring a criminal and they would have to prove that I let leave, all I'd have to say is I confronted him and he took off. Good discussion!

If I just meet that particular person, of course I would freak out! Especially if that person is sitting next to me when I see the news. I can't imagine what I would do. Freaking out too much might cause harm as the person can act recklessly after that. I think I run out from the house first and get some help. But if I already know him/her for years and know he/she will never do that, I will talk and try to help.
