Big Cats

Does anyone know what the largest domestic cat is? I love big cats, but I also want a friendly large cat. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I would definitely say that Maincoon are the largest breed of domestic cat. Males weigh between 8 and 13 pounds and females between 8 and 12 pounds and according to Wikipedia, can reach up to 40 inches long, including the tail. Not to mention they're fluffy.
They are very friendly and typically "lap cats".
