If you will write a book, will be a book about your memories? Or a traveler book?
Why not poetry? Or just a book for kids, with short and nice stories?
How much need somebody to write a book?Talent? Imagination? Time? Ambition?
Or just a intersting life and what show others his life?

Hi, Icesmile!
I've co-authored a couple of textbooks and I've written many magazine articles. When I retire, so I'm not constantly overwhelmed by all the work I have to do, I plan at least three books, two of which are nonfiction and one is a novel. All are outlined and a few chapters written, so it's one of the reasons I wish I could get older in a hurry. I'm sort of waiting impatiently to retire.

There's tremendous joy in letting out the ideas that veritably shout to be released!

I love reading books so I want to give other people who will be reading my book the same happiness. I would like to write a book in the lines of College life as college life has sweet memories for each one and everybody can relate to it easily. It will make people feel young and enthusiastic all over again. It will also cover topics such as family, friendship, love, jealousy etc etc and thereby make the book more interesting.

It is funny you should ask because I have been working on a book for about a year now, that is turning into a novel. It is a murder mystery, and my family, friends, and the publishing company I sent a transcript short story version too cannot wait for me to finish. They offered me money for it, but at this time I delined because I would then have to enter into a contract and finish it in a certain amount of time and I am doing this because I want too, and I do not want to be rushed into finishing it.
How about you do you write, have you written any books/novels, if so what kind, and if not but would like too what kind would they be??

I would love to be able to write, the problem is I have no idea what to write about.
I have written many poems, some of which has been published. Maybe when the children get in school I will have time to write more and can dedicate more to it. Right now I just do not have the time or energy

I'm writing two at the moment, both novels. One's fantasy, but it's pretty standard and has nothing special going for it just yet. I need to think and put some twists into it. The other is a time travel thing, which I'm enjoying and should turn out to be completely warped.
I've been tempted to look at writing for kids. After all, I am one, at heart...
The hardest thing for me in writing something the size of a book is finding an original idea and building the story in my head. I really struggle with that. Then there's the difficulty of writing down all the words: it's very long and tough.
And that's only the beginning: then there's all the critiques, the editing, the commentary... aaaaaaargh!

i will write short story or novel. the story will about life, romance or anything interesting. poetry is good also. i can put some poet in novel. i think the important thing needed to write a book is ambition, spirit, imagination and never give up. talent?if we just have talent but don't have all things i've said before, i think the book never work out.

I really wish I could write a book but it seems I am still so naive on the proper way to write a book. If ever I am going to write a book, it would be a autobiography of someone I know or if given a chance my life. If it's my life, I want to write how someone like me who's life is so boring and uncomplicated still enjoy life :)

If I am to write a book, it will be an inspirational book about my own experiences in life and the things that I have learned from these experiences. As of now I am still in the process of exploring life and earning more experiences whether positive or negative experiences because life indeed is not just all about happy moments but also challenging moments. God bless!

The stories I write probably fall into the bracket of supernatural - maybe not completely outright horror. They are all interlinked tales existing within the same universe, with little asides, homages and cameos from characters from other stories I have written. I love the feeling of creating a complete world and have in jokes and nods to other pieces of work I do. Best feeling in the world.
