Remembering our Mothers

I know that we all did not have the PERFECT MOTHER. Our mothers were all just as flawed as anybody. Many did the best they can with what they have, some just gave up. Since it's Mother's Day, I'd like to encourage us all to think about the goodness and kindness of our mothers. What's the best thing that you remember about your mom? And what example from your mom will you follow as you mother your own children. I'll start: My mom cooks very well. I remember when I was still a teen, I'd call her up in the afternoon and ask if I can bring my friends over, she'd say yes. When we get home, she has already prepared yummy food for me and my friends. Another thing is that she opened up our house to my friends, which I believe is a good thing. She knows most of my friends until now. This is something that I'd like to continue doing with my own children.
