Facebook, MySpace-- a thing of the past???

To me, MyLot provides an open and welcoming atmosphere. :-) It is this type of atmosphere that keeps loyal myLotters coming back. :-) Since joining MyLot, do you find it easier or harder each day to sign into your other social networking profiles? :-) In your opinion, what is it that makes this site so much better than the others?
*On a side note* If a site existed that paid you to do the same things you already do in Facebook and MySpace, such as add videos/music to your profile, comment on your friend's profile, contribute to polls/quizzes, write blogs and much more--would you join it?

My purpose for each of these is different. MyLot was sent to me as a paying site, once I got here I really enjoy sharing and it does have some social aspects about it!
Facebook I have met many of my old classmates there and keeping in touch with them is important. On Myspace I keep up with more family and friends also. I use them to post several of my religious articles as well. So they are ministerial outlets too as I keep in touch with several other ministries through them.
My reasons and social interaction is very different on each of the sites so I have to say that I cannot say one is "better" than another.

Oh, I don't think any site would choose to pay for posting videos and all because then it would be based on rating from other users, which can lead it to become a scam. Ciao and destroy debt is gone just because of people who blieve in spamming.
Well, I log in to mylot at least once every day(on an average) with at least one time log in into a social networking site, Orkut.com. Both ar important for me, mylot for money and friends while orkut for communication with my relatives and friends.

I would use this site more often if it actually paid me, but mylot reduced my balance from $1.20 to $0.00 for no reason, so I rcommend anyone near the cashout stage to request funds now.

Please be aware of the TermsofUse on myLot.
In the FAQs it says:
'I haven’t posted anything on myLot for several months. I logged into my account today and my earnings are missing what happened to them?
Our terms of use state that if you don’t login to your account at least once over a 90 day/3 month consecutive period of time your earnings are forfeited. Please remember to login at least once every 90 days. You don’t need to post any new discussions or respond to discussions, you just need to login to your account so that we know your account has not gone idle.'
Active users recieve there payout when they reach it

Oooh, I am so sorry to know about that, James. :-( Maybe there was something within the myLot rules that you unintentionally did. :-( Gosh, that is a little sad. I hope that never happens to you again. :-) Take care buddy. :-) Thanks so much for your contribution to this post. :-) I really appreciate it. :-)

Ya, with the rising of more and more social networking sites on the internet, the older ones seem to be going to be out-dated very soon if they're still going on like that and no change made to attract its member to continue actively participating. For myLot, I think it's quite an innovative way of getting business online. It pays its member for actively participating in discussions and bring in more members. Facebook or other social networking sites do no have such features. I'm a member of Facebook and Friendster before this but now i only log in into those sites once in a while. Though, every of these sites have their own unique features which its members will enjoy. It's just that different sites target for different niche of people, i think.

I believe facebook and myspace are gonna descent on the mountain of visitors. New initiatives like SQIP ( check my blog in my profile) are more innovative.
Yep, I was always pretty active on a dutch social networking site but I havent logged in for days now. Btw, a site that pays you for social networking does exist, but I dont feel like getting 1 cent for uploading vids or sth...

I think that it is good business sence to reward your users even if by paying them $0.01 per post that being a video or photo or just a status update.
Sites like that should not make (us) pay first to join, and should give us a sign up bonus + referal bonusses from friends and family etc..
This site is looking like a place where i can spend alot of time, i use facebook all the time and i get nothing in return..
Sites like this one are the future of Social Networking.

There are social sites that pay you for doing what you do on myspace and facebook. I have been paid by. The banner is on my profile. They don't pay you a whole lot but they do pay. You can blog, post pics, post updates, design your own profile very easily etc..
I am a member of myspace, facebook and yuwie. They each have their own special traits about them.

I have both, Facebook, Myspace, and I even have Friendster.. I keep three, but mostly not updated.. I join the three community sites, to keep track with my friends abroad.. I think these are a little different with myLot.. Yet, I'm keeping it all.. I getting hook up with myLot again more than anything else online.. I wish I could stay longer though..

I am a member of myspace but I have to say since I have been a member of mylot and a few other sites I barely sign into my myspace anymore. It just doesnt seem so appealing and for me its not really a place for me to keep in touch with my friends because I am in touch with them anyway. I think mylot has so much more appeal to it and I also enjoy having conversations with all the people here and contributing I think all the different views and topics are great. I have much more relaxing time here and more fun here then I do on myspace.

Hello
In my opinion the sites that you have mentioned above, are for teens, I like tto stick to more adult sites, I have heard from a few older wommen that goes on my space, that they only add their family members to their freindlist etc, they don't use these sites for no other reason but family, this is becaus ethey all live far apart.
Happy My Lotting!

I have joined many social networks but hardly visit it anymore for they just offer the same thing and in the end this sites are the only one that gain. Mylot lets users share their opinion and start healthy discussion which make this site unique and help the users to interact that you will soon forget that you are earning for every post for being active here fun.

Myspace is only good for promoting your band. As a community I don't like it very much. Facebook I like and visit daily.
