I am so happy. After five months of searching the web, I have finally found a legit work-at-home job. It is through the Home Shopping Network. I get paid an hourly wage plus commission on upsales. And they also have every benefit imaginable. Health insurance, a 401K, vision, dental, etc. They even have pet health insurance available. All I do is take orders from my home office. I am so excited. I have been looking for something to do at home because I have a 7-week-old son and I'm just not ready to go back out into the workforce yet...but I have to pay the bills somehow. There of course is no start-up cost except for updating the security on my computer and getting an earpiece for my home phone. This is a dream job come true for me. Yaaaaayy!!! (I just had to share my good news)

I'm glad to hear that. I have been looking myself and I haven't had any luck. I'm always scared that the places won't be for real. You'll have to keep us posted has to how it is working out for you.

I am also very careful. But my brother's girlfriend has been working for them for a little over a year now (they haven't been dating long). She is really happy with it. The only problem is, I can't go on vacation and take my work with me. I have to have my home phone. But I will definitely keep you posted.

I've heard of jobs like the one you have, but it was for adult phone operators lol I didn't know that HSN had people working out of their homes taking phone calls for orders that's really cool and I hope you do really well with it. It sounds like something you can do for a long time.

I had no idea that they hired home workers either. I don't think that they have been doing this but for a couple of years. I live about 20 minutes away from the call center, and at first I thought I would have to work there. But they have outgrown themselves. The building has gotten too small.

Congrats!
I used to do a similar job. I took orders from home for companies like Shop NBC,hover round, AARP Insurance, and just about any infomercial you see on TV. I got paid for every minute I spent on the phone. I was an Independent Contractor though, so it was a little bit different. I didn't get benefits.
I liked that job a lot but they stopped hiring contractors for my state so I couldn't continue to work for them. I wish I could find another job like that.
Some advice for you though...
It is not as Dreamy as you may think. Its not easy work at all, you have to have lots of self-discipline because there are going to be times when you will literally have to force yourself to log on and work. Plus, in my house, everytime I tried to work, someone would come in the room being loud while I was on a call. Since your calls are monitored, if they hear background noise, you will get fired.
I also found that people, like my friends and family, didn't take my job seriously. It used to really bug me when people asked me "when i was going to go get a REAL job."
I would get upset because...um, it IS a REAL job!
In fact, working from home is harder than a real job. It takes a lot of motivation to get on that phone on a nice summer day and work while everyone else is out enjoying the warm weather.
Good Luck to you!

That is amazing! Where are you from? I am guessing you're from the US or Canada or somewhere in Europe.... those kinds of jobs are not available in Asia :) We'd love to have that kind of job but there's no such industry here. I think it's because we're not really that big of a consumer market but more of actually the people fueling the service industry and such.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

that is great, now do you want to share. I have spent enough time on this computer looking for some extra money on line that will not ask for an up front fee. I have been suckered into a few of those. Boy I hate that. All I am doing is just trying to find a job on the interent to help a pay a few bills, not spend money. So I am just about willing to try out new things on the computer. So if you would like to share that would be great.
