Does anyone know which one is better? Is there really a difference?

Credit unions generally have fewer fees. That's one of the reasons I moved my checking and savings accounts to my credit union.

Hmmm, lower fees is definitely a good reason to switch. My friends tell me that the tellers are more friendly too. Have you had that experience?

well I like a credit union better, no fee's if I go to a bank then there is a fee sometimes it is a check fee and a fee due to the fact that your below the min balance. is is hard to say as there are many banks and some have fee's and some dont or they are high or low

I'm thinking of switching to a credit union, but many of them have certain requirements before you can join, for example, you must live in a certain area or be employed by a cerntain employer. Is that still the case? Banks don't have those requirements (although they do have quite a few fees).

If there's not much of a difference, which one would you choose? Do you use a bank or credit union.
