Can you look in somebody eyes if you say a lie?

I ask this question because, i have somebody in family very sick, with a INCURABLE desease.And i can t never look in shes eyes when i lie that she will be ok.
All time when she was sick, i lie a lot..because i know if she know the truth, she can t fight with desease any more. She will give up.
And i want let she to hope..to want to live, to find power to beat the illnest.
But because she know very well that i never lie..all time she look in my eyes when i lie. I try a lot to look in shes eyes, but i really cant..i play a part. when she ask me about what doctor say..if she is better or not..i try to look to something else, to read something, to look to my hands...to do something arrownd.
How you react in this kind of situations?
HOW YOU DEAL WITH A BIG LIE?
Can you control your eyes very good and look straight when you lie somebody?
You look in your lover eyes when you lie that you love him?
look in your boss eyes if he acuse for something and you know that you are guilty, but you lie?
WHAT IS YOUR REACTION WHEN YOU MUST TO SAY A LIE?EVEN YOU ARE NOT A LIER...BUT YOU MUST LIE...

those kind of lies help that person you are telling it to and i don't think you should feel bad but the other kind of lies is something else why tell a lie when the truth is better and don't hurt you as bad in the end.i won't tell a lie if it is going to hurt me or some one later ,you will almost always be found out.

I am not a good liar at all. I definitely can't look someone in the eye and lie to them because I can read eyes and the eyes don't , can't lie. If you read up on body language, the eyes are a pretty fool proof lie detector. I used to catch my ex in lies by making him look me in the eye. after we broke up, he told me that it gave him the creeps because it was pretty accurate. Even if I had no proof, I knew he was lying. The worst is when you are lying for what you feel is someone's own good as in the case of someone with an incurable disease. I'm not sure I could do it and be convincing.

I am sorry about your relative but in my opinion she must be known to the fact that she isn't going to be living for long. In that way, who knows, she can enjoy her remaining time left in her life.
For me, it is not eay saying a lie while watching in someone's eyes but I am good at doing pranks. If you would ask me to do a prank, I will tell a lie in such a fashion that you can't figure it out!

I often cannot look someone in the eyes when I'm lying, but I sometimes find that I can when I'm lying to a person that I don't like. Your situation is really difficult. If I were you, I wouldn't be able to look that person in the eyes either.

Well, I can look in the eye and lie if its a small lie and quite harmless or if the person I am lying to is not very important to me. But if the lie is serious or I am lying to somebody who means a lot to me, I cant look that person in the eye. I remember in my school days, I used to be so scared of my teachers, I could never tell a good lie and got punished easily.

I think we can tell a lie with seeing human eyes. That is very difficult. People usually tell about a lie without do that. Maybe that's caused by psycho factors. But I had a friend, he could tell about a lie with his father with seeing his father's eyes. OF course that is not normal, yeah he is a sick boy and very dangerous. :D

to me i guess i can.. but depend on what lie. if really something like against my hubby .maybe i can't look at his eye. but normally i don't really tell lie ,and i hate to tell lie and i hate people telling lie to me.

Well i find it really difficult to lie to a person anyways.......it sometimes just puts every acting skills of yours out of gear........well maybe i am very bad at lying..,......but sometimes i have to if the situation really demands so......and yes i agree you just cannot look into the other persons eye and say a lie......it is just so difficult.......but i have seen flat faced people who are not at all bothered by whatever things that are going on around them,.......they act as if they just don't care..........they are just so good at it......but even if you look into the other persons eye and lie.....you cant really look into your eyes.....you tend to loose self respect.......

YES look at me! icy you are so dumb :-) that was the lie and i was looking in your eyes :-) . don't smile read seriously now... i also was in same condition, my friend was suffering from AIDS- last stage. his parents were so hard that they never came to look for him. he was living in a room near my place. i used to be all the time with him, since he had only few days left. his skin was turning black and he was getting weaker day by day. when he used to ask whether his parents has phoned me to ask about him i used to say yes, they love you a lot. At that time i used to look straight in his eyes. May be i am a lier, but i used to cry a lot when i was alone. i think if you can give some happiness to someone by saying a lie then i am happy i am so.
