Mumbai Indians - a failure?

Mumbai Indians have probably the best batsmen the world has seen - Sachin
Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya. Both have scored more than 10,000 runs in ODIs. Still not both are up to the mark in IPL II. Barring one match when the put on a century run stand - in 10 overs they had scored a 100 odd runs, they are failures. So, the chances of the MI reaching the finals or even semis seems to be diminishing. What do you think?

I too thought that Mumbai Indians would make it this time. But, there seem to be no attacking bowling except Zaheer Khan. Mallinga's bowling is effective, but most of his balls are not towards stumps.
Now, I think either of Deccan Chargers, Chennai Superkings and Rajasthan Royals would be champion this time. Deccan Chargers have brighter chance, I think.

That's right. But you know the good news is that the MI have just defeated the RCB by 17 runs. The RCB were 7 out for 141 in 20 overs. Let's hope that this gives them the momentum again.

Ya. Mumbai indians have big names . It is not the records which speak in T20 , it is
the skill and aggressiveness which speak a lot. Jayasuriya has been aggressive so
far. But , tendulkar is not keeping his momentum. Tendulkar should stand atleast
for the first 10 overs. Other players should also play a good role. In today's match
however , mumbai is on the verge of victory now. But, sachin got a duck this time.
Duminy and rahane were in good form today.

I think Mumbai Indians missed some tricks. One of them is opening partnership between Jayasurya and Sachin Tendulkar. Next Duminy should have batted in one down and I also think Jayasurya and Duminy should have bowled more because they were giving less runs and has the nack of picking wickets. I think they should have planned more and done better. I wish they do better in the next season.

They both have scored more than 10 thousand runs in ODI which is supposed to be appreciated. And I think they are trying to get momentum but there luck is not with them. Yesterday Jaysuriya was not out but still given out.
I think they have long batting line and so they are trying to throe their bat every ball they face and give their team a good start.
Only once they have been successful in doing this.
But still they will bounce back in the future to make their position in the semis.

I thought they would be better than this. They have just not been able to stick together when needed. Sometimes Sachin and Jayasuriya give them quick starts, but others fail to capitalize. But any way, last night Duminy and rahane played after the loss of the openers. Their bowling has been good, but they need to take wickets often. It they can perform as a team, they will do well in coming matches

Hi,
MIs really started this series a lot better than anyother team. I thought DCs alone will be a tough opponent against them. But after few games, other teams really should their stuffs. I really feel MIs has good potential but they need to use it efficiently!
Cheers ;)

ya they are having very talented people like sachin and jayasuriya but with two peoples we can't win each and every game remaining team members are also cooperate with them......i think this is missing in mumbai Indians...if they improves that thing they should win the ipl3 title and other thing is the captain ship it's not good in my point of view when compared to other teams ..did u seen the yesterday's match ..rajastan lost but the captain ship of warne is fabulous and Chennai bats mans overcome from that one yar ........i think this might be the reason for their loss.........
