I have seen several recipes for Stuffed Burgers lately, but I have not tried any of them. Have you ever made stuffed burgers before? What did you put in yours. I noticed that cheese and bacon is a popular one. I am wanting to try making them, but I am trying to decided which kind I should try first.

Well, I'm not sure what a stuffed burger technically is, but I think I might have made something similar to what you're talking about. I read an article about how a certain kind of cherry decreases chances of heart disease and cancers. One of the recipes for how to use the cherries was to slice and dice them into hamburger meat when cooking burgers. So I did, and it was so good! But I can't remember the type of cherries. I hadn't thought about that in a while.

That would have been easier for me to do with the cherries. Thanks for the idea.

Kind of the same thing, but you make 2 thin patties and put the stuff in between them and press the edges sealed.

When I was a kid my mother used to make the burgers with a slice of onion in them. I thought they were pretty good. I would imagine you can stuff them with anything that you like. I haven't made them, but I think if I did, I would like to have a slice of onion and tomato in mine. I never put cheese on my burgers, so that would not be an option for me.

Onions sounds good to me, but I would have to make them different for my kids. They both don't like onions.

I have done the pizza burgers at home here and once in a while if I find a place that serves them I will order one.....but I haven't seen many recipies for stuffed burgers. I think it would be fun to stuff them with mushrooms and swiss cheese! Yummy!

I have never had them before. They sound yummy. I'd be game to try them. Hopefully someone in my family will make them. I'd love to try a vegetarian variety too. I am headed in that direction.

I don't see the point in stuffing them...

Hi lilybug! Cheese and bacon are pretty popular and good. You can also put pepperoni, pizza sauce, and cheese in there..a pizza burger. They are really good. I would also consider swiss cheese, mushroom gravy, and mushrooms..a mushroom swiss burger. MMM..I'm hungry now..lol
