Have you ever made your own website? I have made a website by Microsoft Frontpage, and I'm and still working on the website, because I am in this competition called National History Day, and I am in the website division, and I might go to Nationals.., anyways I want to know if you have ever made a website. =)

I have made two websites. I do not use frontpage though, it was very frustrating nd i kept running into nonsensical road blocks. I use a different program that gives a crisp, cleaner look. I like to keep my sites simple and easily navigated. If people cannot get to my information or the information they desire, they will not come back...

What kind of program do you use to make your websites? I know Microsoft Frontpage is very hard to use, but it was a very limited choice...

There are some pretty good servers out there where you can get your own domain. You just have to look around some and beware of scams.
Serif has great products in my opinion!!

Also, once I had gotten a trojan from downloading a website maker, you have to be careful with some of the things you download... YOu should always download something that is popular, or you know someone else is using, because you could end up with a messed up computer if you are not careful. Always be cautious!

I don't like to use notepad, because I can't preview my website quickly enough...

My first site was made with frontpage (pcsourcepoint, in my mylot profile). Basically a freeware/NZ/Tech reference/link site. I self taught myself and used tutorials. Took about a month, but I don't spend much time, as I concentrate on my blogs. Frontpage is good in some ways, as you can easily create/use some of the html codes - particularly for tables, which I use in my other sites/blogs.
Though some of the codes can be a bit unnecessarily comprehensive. But was a good learning curve for me...

ive used macromedia dreamweaver.. :) it is good. but right now im using online webmakers.. hehe much faster - if you focus on the content you can use online web builders.. hehe, but if you focus on the design use dreamweaver!

When i am still a beginner i use front page, but i have never been used to it. I make websites through wysiwg editor of free webhosting sites. Later on, i feel that i need to improve my site by adding features that are not available in wysiwg editor. Thats why i decided to take it to the next level. I make my own codes particularly in html and use only notepad to make a website and its more convinient to use.
Anyway, goodluck!

Using FrontPage is fine for making webpages. So far i have made some personal webpages. I usually coding it manually using Notepad. It needs HTML skills before you can coding with Notepad. Do you use any scripting on your project? Or do you just making static web, don't you? I hope you could finish it on time and great result. All the best. Good luck for you and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.
