it amazes me how many people do this! seems like its always in the news now! how do these people live with corpses? i mean wouldnt the smell eventually become too much? this lady was stealing her social security along with army money..
do you think this is going to become even more common with the economy being awful??

i have posted before in the past of another case that it happened where they left the woman on the toilet for like 7 years or something and it seems like there was another case i posted about.. but all of them were to get the checks they were receiving

I really hope this won't be a problem during the economy slump, but you never really know. Some people don't think anything of burying Pop in the backyard and keeping "his" checks. I'd like to think most people would respect the remains of their family members enough to give them a proper burial.

yeah you would think even if they were gonna steal the checks they could at least secretly bury them somewhere to be respectful (well as respectful as you could be being a thief lol)

Yikes!! That's kinda scary to think about. What people are doing these days out of desparation or just plain greed amazes me. My husband and I are constantly baffled and amazed by the odd, strange, weird, and bizarre things we read in the news on a daily basis. There are a lot of crazy people sharing the planet with us.

this is creepy, how can someone do this to their parents. I believe this is the only way for them to survive. And yes this is awful.

I'd like to know how these people live with themselves, this is just plain sick and wrong. To neglect giving your mother a proper burial just for money? Pathetic. And the excuse that she couldn't afford it? After 6 years of cashing in on her mothers social security and army money, she still couldn't afford a burial? People are just plain sick.
