I try my best to be filial. However, I don't know if I am doing good on that and could be qualified as filial person. I hope I could please my parents and don't give them much troubles.
I hate people who are cruel to their parents. These kind of people are worthless and should be punished. They do not value the effort their parents put in raising them up at all.

Your parents must feel really happy to have such a filial and considerate kid cheongyc I'm happy that I have a caring and filial kid as well. I believe both parties do hope their loved ones live a healthy and happy life.
When my beloved parents were still alive I always tried my best to please them and make them happy. I realized that they needed satisfaction both in materials and spirits. Therefore besides helping them in doing household chores, buying them their favorite items, taking them out to have fun and entertain their appetite regularly I never failed to accompany them at least once or twice weekly. They were really happy to see my son as well as my hubby. I could see this from their genuine smiling appearance
I do hear young guys complain that their parent won't feel satisfied no matter how much they have been spending for them. They actually don't understand what their parents need. Hopefully people would understant money couldn't buy happiness.

You are a really filial daughter to your parents. I am glad that they are so lucky to have a filial daughter.
I am regretful that I couldn't go back to my home town to accompany my parents on a weekly basis. I can only travel on monthly intervals. Ya, I understand our parents need our support both financially and spiritually. I hope I can do better and better.
Thanks for your response in this comment, and have a nice day!

To be honest, I really hate people like that. It's like their parents weren't the ones who gave them life. It's like they don't feel any love for them at all. If not for their parents, they wouldn't be alive here on Earth now. Being old doesn't mean you can't do anything anymore. I hate those kind of selfish people.
To answer your question, no I'm not filial. But I once almost was.

Hi yuhesky, we chinese, during our childhood have been teaching to be filial. There are lots of interesting to teach kids how to befilial to their elderly. I belive almost all the kids in our society are quite familiar with the 24 touching stories how the filial kids to take care of their parents respectively.
Might be we have come into contact with such filial stories since the very early stage of our age therefore most of us know how to carry out our filial duty.
Our children would treat us like what we treat our parents. I believe those people who treat their loving parents rudely would face the similar situation in the coming future
Take care and happy posting
