Just wanted to say Happy Mommy's Day to everyone. Hope you all had a great day. I did.
I woke up to "I Love You Mommy. Happy Mothers Day." from my 3 year old. A rose bush. A ring that is inscribed "Love is Patient. Love is Kind. Love Never Ends." A talking card and breakfast at Perkins Restaurant. I got a whole strawberry cheesecake and a strawberry pie to take home.
We then went to AC Moore and I bought a poster frame that I've needed for about 2 years and a couple other things. We went to our local mall and I got a Nine Inch Nails CD that I was missing from my collection. We stopped in at Gertrude Hawk and I got a small gift pack with lip balm, a vanilla scented candle and almond scented hand lotion. I also got a couple bags of roasted glazed almonds.
Then it was off to Wal*mart to exchange a bowl that we had bought yesterday and to buy a couple of other things, then off to Subway for dinner. We brought that home and watched "Marley and Me" while our 3 year old cuddled with me on the couch and then we put the girls to bed. Now we're just checking a few things online then going to bed ourselves. It was a good day. I'm very happy with my Mothers day.
I love my family!!!
What did you do for Mom's Day?

Happy Mothers Day to you Camomom and to all other mothers at Mylot. Hope you all had a wonderful day as well.
My family took me out for breakfast at my favorite restaurant this morning then we came home and they gave me the handmade gifts that they had made at school and scouts and then we relaxed for a few hours watching movies which is what I really wanted was some relaxation and then we went out to my mothers for a visit. It was real a great day.

That sounds nice. I'm a stay at home mom so I wanted to get out of the house. I would like some relaxation too but getting out was more important to me yesterday. I'm glad you got to relax.

Well, I awoke to the sounds of my grandchildren running through the house and the two year old hollering at Poppy to fix wrench toast.
We went to church, where my mom and dad had come up to spend mother's day with us and to hear Mike preach his mother's day sermon.
Then we came home and I had fixed lunch for mom and I gave my mom and oldest daughter their mother's day gifts. Mom got new dish towels and pot holders for her kitchen, which is what she asked for, and a beautiful yellow beaded necklace that I found at Target that matches the dress she wore at Easter!
Tyra got a sugar cookie scented candle (her favorite) a tube of scented foot cream from Victoria's Secret, along with a Pumice Stone and a bottle of finger/toe nail polish and I had put it all in a cute little basket with a dove and a cross on it.
Then after she and the babies went home and Mom and Dad had left, Mike and I took a nap.
Now we're wathing the Fireproof Movie with the two younger girls (who are 18 and 19 years old)
Oh! I got a beautiful sterling silver necklace with a double heart from the girls, a beautiful red blazer that I'd tried on a couple of weeks ago at Dillards and didn't buy because I decided I didn't really have to have it (Hubby went back and got it) From Mike along with a musical card that plays "What a difference you made in my life".
The grandbabies got me sterling silver hoops that I love and Tyra painted their hands and they did hand prints in pink and blue paint on the inside of my mother's day card. (I cried)
Then I went to church and my secret sister had gotten me a beautiful pink and green basket. Inside the basket was a vanilla scented candle, the movie Fireproof (which we watched this afternoon) a new pair of flip flops and some miniature rice Krispie treats!
Luke, one of the babies that I have in the nursery brought me a Karen Kingsbury book that I'd been wanting. (his mom and I share a love for this author)

It's nice to have a regular day sometimes. I like getting cards so I wouldn't have been upset if that's all I got. That's usually how my mom spends her mothers day, receiving cards and doing the usual thing.

well, I went over to my mother's and my bro and I took her to the dining room for their Mother's Day feast
I called my sister and she got to talk to her. We left when it was time for her to lay down for a nap.
After I came home and put on something more comfortable, the roomie wanted to go to turn in some books at the library, then we went to Goodwill.
Well, my client had called while I was at lunch with mom to ask for more books, so I found a few at the first Goodwill while the roomie didn't find anything. So we drove over to another Goodwill and I found 3 more books and she found a bunch of CDs.

Sounds like you both had a great day. My mom lives in another state so I sent her flowers from FTD. She wasn't home when they tried to deliver them so they left her a note to call them. They were closed yesterday so I'll assume that she'll be calling them today. She said they are right down the street from her so she may even just go pick them up. We also sent flowers to his mom and she got her's on Friday. I text messaged all my Mommy friends and my sister because we were so busy running around that I didn't have much time to call anyone. I did get to talk to my mom on the phone for a few minutes though.

That's so sweet! As for me, I went home and visited my family who lives in another city right after my shift. I spent my days off there and celebrated Mother's Day with my Mom. I don't think she was expecting that I would spend a night there since I'm always busy, that's why she got ecstatic, and my dad, too, when I said I wanted pancake for breakfast tomorrow. After lunch, we went to the mall. I bought her a box of brownies - the one that she hasn't tasted yet and wouldn't buy because it's expensive (lol!), a huge bottle of her favorite lotion, and a lipstick - her choice of shade. We also had a snack before I went back to my apartment. And, by the way, I gave her half of my salary that day. ^_^
